Albury is a lovely stop off not too far away from Sydney/...
Albury is a lovely stop off not too far away from Sydney/Canberra/Melbourne. I liked that it was such a small little town and I felt so happy there. Easy to get around, and the people are really friendly. Worth a visit for a few days easily. Was only there for 1 day/1 night so can't give much more rating/commentary than that.

It was easy to find, parking was good.
It was easy to find, parking was good. The room was spacious with a sliding door to outside. Not a garden but you could sit there. The staff were helpful and pleasant and responded when one of our party needed another bedside table. Its close to Albury main street.
We stayed on the way to Melbourne for the Super Rugby and on the way back from it. The first night we ate at Brady's Railway Hotel which was very close and the second night we ate at the Beer Deluxe. Both were nice places to eat - pub food, but good. This was a very convenient and comfortable motel, clean and with all the things we needed.

We like land based fishing (catch and release) and Albury is a great starting point. We can fish on lake hume or on the Murray during our stay. Both have amazing diversity of both flora and fauna. The most amazing tranquil places to sit and just take in the wonders of our awesome surroundings.
Clean, pleasant, well-presented room and bathroom with beautiful views, quiet location and everything required for a stay away from home. More space than a standard hotel room, bed were comfortable, quality warm linen (we traveled in Winter) and plenty of coat hangers provided (which most hotels do not provide). Staff were friendly and prompt in providing items requested eg: breakfast, extra milk. Parking was very convenient, right outside the room. We will definitely be staying again for our next visit to Albury.
Location was excellent, staff were very helpful and friendly, rooms were super clean and spacious. Very close to shops, clubs and restaurants. Great pet friendly hotel not far from a great park and river to walk your furry friends. I will be definitely recommending this motel to my friends and family. I can't wait to come back.
Most of the staff was awesome including the male staff member who was at the reception when I arrived at 2:30
Breakfast was nice but simple. Bristo was awesome and very cheap.
The motel has a pool which is clean and indoor.
Pokki machines are available at the hotel and have a bar tender in the room bringing drinks.
From the moment we entered the office Mark was great.
The rooms were possibly the cleanest rooms we have stayed in.
Rooms spacious, and the shower was magnificent which is very important.
Location just far enough away from the city but not too far if you did want to walk.
Will definately stay again when in Albury
We were breaking a road trip by staying overnight in Albury and enjoyed the location: close to the Botanic Gardens for an evening stroll then a very pleasant happy hour and meal in the hotel's bar and restaurant. The bartender varied my cocktail to suit, too. Breakfast on the balcony made a good start to the day.
Overall, I had a good experience with the Albury Paddlesteamer Motel. It’s clean and you get what you pay for. It’s definitely a good place to stop and rest your bones on the way from Melbourne to Sydney. Once around I highly reccomend having breakfast at the River deck, a 300m walking distance.
The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The rooms had everything we needed.
The hotel was in a pretty location on the outskirts of Albury with views of the hills. Yet, the Main Street of Albury was only a short drive away.
The Hotel Manager was very friendly and helpful.
We have stayed in Albury several times at a different hotel.
We decided to change due to a bad experience and it was the best move we made, our room was twice the size, breakfast included and still cheaper than out bad experience
Pub was really nice, recently redone and has good food. You can see that they are busy redoing the rest of the hotel.
If the same effort is put into updating the hotel, I will definitely come back to stay there.
The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. The location is good and view from the room was super. We stayed overnight for our trip to Melbourne. Albury is nice town and Hume dam was must watch.
I liked the history of the hotel and the American Decor inspiration. I write on-line and people commented that they could remember the Astor from bygone years. Opened in 1962; updated in 2020.
Bed was comfortable, room was warm.
There was a microwave oven.
Was very quiet as this was a Saturday night.
Great location in the heart of Albury.
Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby.
Size of the room for a family, comfortable bed, location to sights of Albury. Table and extra coffee making area, couch and nice big bed side tables. Bath robes
The room was clean, quite large, comfortable, and the included continental breakfast was plentiful. All in all, we will stay here again if staying in Albury.
