We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at this gem of a place, set in a lush forest. The surroundings were idyllic, with beautiful vistas over Whitianga town and beach. The bed was superb and breakfast was amazing - more than we could eat with more than 6 types of fruit, yoghurt, bacon & eggs, and mushrooms and tomatoes, toast...... We've never seen such a variety of teas and coffee on offer! Wish we had had more than 1 night to enjoy Beverley and Dave's wonderful hospitality. 10 out of 10!!

We joined a cruise to the Cathedral Cove from Whitianga.
We joined a cruise to the Cathedral Cove from Whitianga. It was very nice and enjoyable. The beach was scenic. It is a small town but with 2 big supermarkets where we can buy fresh local food.
It is a long drive from Auckland. It would be easier if there is car ferry from Auckland east to the Coromandel pennisula.

Whitianga is a beautiful place especially the area we stayed in being surrounded by the beach. Everything is close by in walking distance. What a bonus. The people are lovely and friendly. We tried the Slice slice baby - pizza place because we seen a lot of people going in and out and now we know why! We also had fish and chips from the shop just next to the pizza and by far the best fish and chips I've had. Fresh and tasty.

Whitianga is the perfect place to stay on the Coromandel...
Whitianga is the perfect place to stay on the Coromandel Peninsula. The town had plenty of facilities and we enjoyed using the passenger ferry to Shakespeare lookout.
The town has plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes, some of the bars have DJ nights and live music.
The town has plenty of little shops, we found everything we needed from a chemist to a second-hand book shop. There are lots of cute little independent boutiques & shops, convenience stores and some big brand names including Countdown, New World and Subway! Plus several places to get fuel.
There are restaurants galore, Indian, Chinese, Thai, bistro style and pie shops.
If we stayed here again we would rent a property a little bit away from the centre of town, the outdoor DJ kept us away until 12.45 one night!!
This place would have to be one of our favourite BnBs we’ve visited in NZ! Nestled into the bank of Brophys Bay, the studio looks onto the gorgeous coastline of Whitianga’s Buffalo Beach.
It has everything we needed for our weekend getaway - Netflix, a comfy bed, outside coffee spot. They also have an outdoor bathtub, a little pathway that leads to the ocean and, the highlight of my morning, home made croissants with butter and jam. They made us feel so welcome and were exceptional hosts.
The hosts were friendly and even offered the use of a free beach bag with towels and a hose to wash off sand. We did the Cave Cruiise Tour and the Cathedral Cove Gateway Trail. We walked into Whitianga along the beach and had the Snapper Fish and Chips at Whitianga Takeaways, with staggering huge portion of chips more than enough for two and large thick snapper slices. It was a great stay.
Perfect location for a relaxed break. Fun water taxi over to Whitianga which had plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The hosts were super helpful and gave us some great recommendations. Great location to pop to cathedral cove and hot water beach. Would love to return for another stop over.
Went for anniversary. Have gone every year the past several years. Secret entrance to lost springs spa, easy 3 minute walk. Staggering distance to town for drinks after. Lovely staff, amazing rooms especially the ocean view apartments. Well worth a visit. One of THE best places to stay in Whiti
The space is so clean and classy. The decor was perfect. A lot of care went into designing the decor. The bed was totally comfortable. The location is great. Nice and quiet but still close to everything. The town of Whitianga is completely charming full of great things to do, close by.
Location is awesome, short walk to beach, town center and wharf, if partaking in any water/boat tours it is very convenient. Friendly reception staff. Nice sea views from our room (712). Spacious, clean apartments, good sized bath.
Easy check in, friendly and helpful staff, super clean apartments with great amenities. Loved the location for exploring the area. Could not ask for more. Great value and very satisfied! Would highly recommend!
Was pleasantly surprised by this accommodation. The price was cheap for how clean the room was, it was sparkling, and the location. Everything was walking distance and they offered a discount at a local pub.
An older style motel right in the middle of Whitianga, near Buffalo Beach, the wharf and downtown shopping. The owner was super friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and clean - met our expectations.
Maria was such a lovely host. We felt like we were visiting a relative in Whitianga. She was warm and welcoming and we had some lovely chat. As we told her we will visit her again.
Exactly what we wanted for an overnighter in Whitianga! The two women at reception we charming and helpful in navigating to Hot Water Beach. Our room for 3 was VERY comfortable!
Top location very close to the beach front of Whitianga. Clean and tidy. Everything available that you would ask for. Restaurants and ferry/harbor in walking distance.
