A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.

Great place to spend week. Central to other destinations , good weather, all year round activities, good shopping, lots of resurants, friendly locals and a short drive to Queenstown Airport. (they may have their own soon)
Everything was perfect! Location couldn’t be better! A really cozy apartment with a fireplace for cold times and an A/C to fight the intense heat of summer. Excellent kitchen with everything one may need. Super good and modern shower. A deck with a wooden table and chairs with the lake view for meals outside. And of course a super friendly host!
Definitely the best hotel among all those that we stayed in during out trip on the South Island!
This apartment was wonderful! Spectacular views across the lake and mountains. There was so much space and the furnishings are to a high standard. It was great to have a garage to park the car. So nice to have a gas fire and plenty of heating to keep us warm. Jenny and the housekeeping team were really helpful and great to deal with. Very easy, short walk into Wanaka.
We had a premium suite in a section of the hotel that had recently been refurbished. The quality of the decor and furnishings was very high and the lounge area had a beautiful view of the lake. The location was close to the lake and about a 20-25 minute walk to the centre of town.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful with advice about restaurants and activities.
Really love the hotel and also the staffs are so nice. the location of hotel also a bit near to some bars and lake. For the room, we rent the family type one.The room it self also a bit spacious and clean and they also have electric blanket which my parents like. If you like to cook by your self, they have some cooking utensils like whisks, knife, stove as well
Fantastic apartment with wonderful views of Lake Wanaka. It has everything that you may need including a small kitchen. Noelene and Bob are wonderful hosts and couldn’t have been more helpful and the breakfast that they provided out most hotels to shame. We are considering moving into their apartment permanently it was so good. we will be back.
I pretty much never do reviews. I travel throughout NZ & Aus staying in Motels & Hotels. The friendliness of the staff is outstanding. Room was good & what a fantastic view. Also booked a spa at sunset which was amazing especially with the view of the mountain range. Highly recommend the place.
older hotel which has been refreshed, very clean, comfortable and suitable for three people - staff were very friendly and ready to have a chat about the local area, there are washers and dryers for those who need them - walking distance to main drag and lake and lots of dining options around
The counter staff was friendly and helpful. The location was good, with good eating places within short distances. The apartment was spacious and clean, and the bed wad comfortable. Whole neighborhood environment was nice and quite. We recommend this place for visitors to Wanaka.
This was a SPECTACULAR home away from home, close to town with magnificent views of the lake and snow capped mountains. It felt like a home not a hotel, and we were so comfortable for our stay in Wanaka. The beds were comfy, it was warm and had everything we needed.
Great location, walking distance to village centre of Wanaka or other parts if you want to explore. Lots of good walking trails nearby. 2 pools and gym facilities. Comfy beds and having your own garage and washing machine etc is very helpful.
Wonderful family hostel convenient to town and trails in Wanaka. Super clean common areas with everything you need. Very organized. Hot tub and BBQ are great extras. Hosts are super nice and helpful. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Apartment had wonderful view of Lake Wanaka, was quite large, and very well-equipped, including heat pump, laundry facilities, and dishwasher. Grounds had beautiful flowers. Location was walking distance to grocery stores and the town.
Self contained cottage was cute, compact, cosy and clean.
Steve gave us a friendly welcome ably assisted by his canine companion, Beau. The friendly vibe was duplicated at the local hotel where we were greeted as if we were regulars.
The location is very good and easy walk to many restaurants. The only cheap hotel that I can find during this period. Others are so expensive and the locations are not as good as this hotel. It is clean.
Luxury apartments with all the facilities you require for a family- laundry, clothes drier, large fridge/freezer. Heated floors were lovely and very comfortable beds. Close to wanaka.
Location was excellent, easy walking distance to Wanaka city centre. Great views.
Laundry was extremely handy after travelling for a few days. Highly recommend
