Papamoa is a very laid back and peaceful place to visit.
Papamoa is a very laid back and peaceful place to visit. Everything you need is right on the doorstep and really great to visit a beach that isn't crowded. Everyone you meet while walking along the beach are friendly (including the dogs) and it's a lovely place to relax and be at one with nature.

Papamoa is ideally situated close to Mt Maunganui yet far away enough to retain a sense of peace. It's also within an hour's drive of beautiful Ohope Beach &, to the north, Waihi Beach, both of which are well worth visiting (especially Ohope Beach & Whaktane).

Papamoa is a lovely beach resort town. There's plenty of beach space with a surf club to patrol the beach. There are plenty of food outlets to cater for all needs. The walkways are a great asset to encourage people outdoors for their chosen exercise routine.AAnonymousNew Zealand - 10Scored 10

Everything was fantastic but I probably would let my customers know that there are stairs involved especially if they have someone on crutches or a disability and would find climbing the stairs a problem. Not that it deterred us but would be good to note that.
