Great town with friendly locals.
Great town with friendly locals. All hospitality options covered, with a bar on a jetty that is very pleasant but always seemed short staffed. Easy walking town and a jetty to Russell with happy staff to greet you.
Visited Pompallier House in Russell which is well worth the visit and again met with lovely friendly greeting and service.

We spent two nights at Paihia Beach Resort and Hotel.
We spent two nights at Paihia Beach Resort and Hotel. This is a five-star hotel and it was in fair to good condition. The reception desk is staffed between 8am to 9pm. Staff were very helpful. When we got there it was raining and the reception staff had run out of umbrellas. A suggestion, if you place at least one umbrella in each room as this seems to be fair. A bonus was they had a self laundry room that was complimentary for the guest. The hallways and lift area smelt stuffy but the rooms were quite clean.
The staff at reception were very helpful and knowledgeable.
The hotel is in close proximity to a local supermarket which was about a 10 minute walk and it was about 8 minute walk to the wharf and the restaurants.
Transport: We used Kerikeri Taxis from the airport to the hotel.
Weather: We were in Paihia in early December but temperatures were dropping to 15°C at night and during the day it goes up to 21°C. The locals have told us that summer in New Zealand starts in late January and temperatures do not go over 30°C.

A beautiful place to visit with lots of activities on your doorstep from swimming, to boat trips, good range of restaurants/cafes. Can recommend jfc restaurant for quality fish and chips(and other seafood) in a beautiful setting. A visit to Waitangi Treaty grounds and a trip over to Russell for lunch at the Duke of Marlborough is a must.

Liked the markets and the location with easy access to Russell which was well worth a visit.
A cruise ship was moored when we arrived so the town was rather chaotic and overcrowded. Much better when it had gone!
This is a small but perfectly formed resort, impeccably clean, very comfortable bed and room. The bathroom has a massive spa bath, the hotel is right across the road from the beach, we could go to sleep hearing waves crashing and nothing else. The spa pool deck is lovely, and we had a really nice meal in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and capable. A short walk only to Paihia town. Really good value for what we paid. We are totally intending to return.
Bounty Motel is in a great location centrally located to the waterfront, shops and restaurants. No need to climb any steep hills. The motel was spotlessly clean. Basics such as tea, coffee, milk, salt/pepper were provided. There was a kettle, mini fridge and microwave in the room. Plates, mugs, cutlery was available, also towels and small toiletries. There was a mini kitchen but no stove. Reasonably priced rooms.
This motel is situated on the main strip of Paihia, was easily located. 10 mins walk to the Paihia Ferry harbour. Few minute's walk to the beach. Room was very comfortable and clean. Small kitchen facilities provided. Bathroom was clean and shower was a good size. Very happy with our stay. Friendly staff. Pool was nice as well. Water was a bit cold but since it was a hot day that didn't matter too much.
An atmospheric cottage that oozed charm and character. It was attractively furnished and was well appointed. The beds were very comfy with one being king-sized. A very friendly and hospitable host who sent a welcoming email before arrival with detailed directions on finding the place. (Not that it was difficult to find) Already considering booking again on our next trip tp Paihia.
Great all-round accommodation and value for money for a family. Great balcony with afternoon shade and spectacular view. Well located especially if you don't mind walking a bit, being an easy 10 min walk down the hill to the beach and 15 mins to Paihia wharf. A bit of energy required to get home up the hill but not a problem for those physically able and up for a bit of exercise.
Room was lovelyband spacious.
Had all the amenities, even though we were on the main road you couldn't hear traffic unless you went out onto the deck.
Amazing view,
Receptionist an Manager were lovely an helpful, I've stayed in most Motel/ Hotels in Paihia an been a cleaner there with 20+ years experience.
I would definitely stay here again in the future,.
The size of the room was fabulous, i had travelled through to Kaeo to spend the day with my child, and decided to book at stay in Paihia. The location suited my needs and was extremely close to what i was looking for, as i was going to have a mirimiri at the community centre with David Denton on the saturday. I also appreciated that the rooms were clean.
A+ customer service. Super helpful and friendly staff. Very clean room and bathroom. Modern decor and well presented. The room was soacious with very comfortable beds. Great parking and excellent location just a walk down to the beach and shops. Highly recommend this place. My family and I will definitely use this place for our next stay in Paihia.
We have stayed at the beach house a number of times now and it is always a comfortable and homely stay. We enjoy this house as it is very spacious for the whole family/friends to enjoy. Close to the beach and countdown. The view is delightful, always nice to wake to. This house caters to a group of people (Families, group of friends, colleagues).
I loved our room it was very large and spacious which was good to fit all our family in. Very family friendly resort with games room, pool, spa and a playground even. Close to Paihia and Waitangi and beaches. The room was equipped with everything we needed. Oven, kitchen, utensils, fridge and television. Lovely staff.
I am never ever disappointed when i stay at Bounty Motel. It is the best hotel in Paihia, in my opinion.
Paul is amazing. The staff are so nice. The rooms are spotless and super comfy, the location is excellent and the pricing is amazing.
GO STAY THERE!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT.
It was close to attractions in Paihia, very close to Waitangi Treaty Grounds, close to the Countdown supermarket and close to a petrol station. It had a nice view of the bay. The accommodation was clean and there was a washing machine for our use.
Very clean and tidy, the staff are absolutely amazing and I would recommend this place to everyone. Top job Peppertree lodge and as I have stayed in almost every hotel in Paihia I can without a doubt say that this is the best of them all
The property was close to town, and the rooms were tidy, Clean and private, although we were a couple we enjoyed the family feel that the hotel had, been so close to town meant we were
able to walk to places and explore.
Right across the road from the beach and a fabulous view of the bay of islands looking across to Russell. The apartments are close to shops and cafes, and there is plenty to do in Paihia winter or summer.
Bed was comfortable, room was ample and not damp. the flow of the river in the background was a nice ambience, and the grounds are extensive. Would return with my family for a cheap holiday for sure.
