Used Lower Hutt accommodation as was attending an event in Porirua and facilities there were booked out a year earlier. Did not experience Lower Hutt at all apart from somewhere to stay and travel to and from.

Petone has a great shopping area on Jackson St and surrounds, with some quirky boutique shops. In particular, I recommend their excellent op shops for quality second hand goods. There are multiple good dining options here, including excellent cafés. We tried "Caffiend", which has excellent coffee.

Was visiting family for Christmas.
Was visiting family for Christmas. Lower Hutt is easy, grew up there. Had dinner twice at Simply Grill Kitchen in Petone, very nice. Would recommend Lower Hutt or Petone for accommodation as very easy to travel into the city - time/distance wise, but accommodation options are probably easier and better value for money 'out the Hutt'

This Hotel is in Petone which has many eateries and shops at the doorstep. Amazing and different sort of shopping. Busy little place. Walk from Hotel to the waterfront which you get to overlook Wellington. I loved to position of the place. Would definitely stay again.
The location was excellent for us. The motel was clean, the staff lovely. Good guest laundry facilities, which is now a must when travelling around our own country, as many people are doing. And the most comfortable thing were the Lazy Boy Chairs, what a bonus for us. WE travelled from Tauranga to Lower Hutt, a 7 Hour drive, and to have those lovely comfortable chairs was a bonus. Thank you. Easy walking to local cafes, shopping, and restaurants. We would stay here again.
I had contacted the owners to say we will be arriving late. It was no problem to them, they left out out key, closed the blinds, warmed the room and left a lovely note on the table.
It was super clean and tidy and the beds were really comfortable. The shower pressure was great. My son was happy the wifi signal was strong and worked well.
Highly recommend and will definitely stay again when coming back to Wellington.
Thank you.
Rooms were so tidy, so happy with our stay. We loved that it had everything we needed, location is amazing. Short walk to the township centre, close to food, amenities and the Harbour views. Having parking on site too made our stay so much more enjoyable and gave us peace of mind. Overall 10/10 stay, definitely will be staying again if we find ourselves in lower hutt 💕
Cute little area outside of Wellington with new rooms and very comfortable accommodations. Had a first floor room with sliding door overlooking a residential neighborhood. Nice complimentary washer/dryer was a great surprise. Located well for ferry to the South Island in the AM.
Stayed at the boulcott lodge before a concert in Lower Hutt. The room was lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Love how the rooms are set up and there were a few of our group staying there and we all got neighbouring rooms. Such a nice place.
this place was amazing!! Absolutely beautiful inside and out, very well equipped and had absolutely anything you could ask for. Next time I'm staying in Wellington, this will be one of the first places I look for when arranging accomodation
Loved the rural location. Every detail had been thought of. Super generous hosts that provided way more than other accommodation providers. I would happily recommend this accommodation to anyone staying in the Lower Hutt area
The hotel has clean rooms, fridge, and microwave, lots of plug-ins, excellent quality toiletries, and nice towels. Best of all; a very good bed and quality cotton sheets. Super quality for the money. I was very impressed.
We were thrilled to have a warm, comfortable place to stay in a magnificent home, plus a stunning view of Wellington Harbour to top it all off! We received a very warm, friendly and informative welcome. Thank you Lizz.
