I appreciated the quality of the towels & linen. The towels, including the tea towels, were thick, lush, & crispy white as if brand new. That felt nice.
The decor of wallpaper, curtains & wee touches were lovely.
Beds were super comfy ! Plus there were electric blankets !
Awesome shower .
Quiet street & great value for money.
All & all pretty good .

Unfortunately the visitors centre was closed in 2020, so there was no information about what to see and how to achieve this. We were recommended to visit Stewart Island, apparently being the main attraction. You needed to book online but there was no information
about the trip. At a cost of $200 each, rather expensive. Drove to Bluff to find out for ourselves, 30 kms but even less information. Very disappointing. Not much in the way of restaurants unless you are in to Asian food. One shopping centre, not much in it.

Nice flat walking, the new mall has all the usual shops plus some additional surprises. Shopping is great, streets very clean, Queens Park is lovely and well cared for and there is a lot of city centre development going on with improvements for locals and visitors alike. Amigos restaurant if you like chili and Mexican food is worth a try.

Great city on the up.
Great city on the up. Good selection of eateries and things to do and see. Most attractions are fairly close to the centre, and the airport is 5 minutes from there. I can happily recommend Invercargill for a visit.

Invercargill has a lot to offer. Queen's Park is a must-see. Aside from the beautiful gardens, there are nice bird aviaries and farmyard animals. It's a great place for families with a nice playground and cafe. Bill Richardson Transport World is a highlight, along with Oreti Beach which Bert Munro used as a race track. Hubber's Emporium and E Hayes are fantastic shops with many interesting things to see. There is a nice new mall and we found some good places to eat

This is a clean city with no obvious homelessness problem.
This is a clean city with no obvious homelessness problem. It is well provided with facilities and retail outlets. Some of the shops like Hubber's Emporium are just fascinating. The people are friendly. It is close to Bluff and marvelous beaches. I've heard it's not so good on a rainy day, but I wouldn't know. I would love to live in Invercargill but I feel they don't need more "northies" to come and push property values up. I will remain a grateful tourist.
The rooms are clean, tidy and presentable for this age of property, they are well situated and more than adequate for the money. Loved the separate bedroom with bathroom off the bedroom. You won't get that for the price in the more modern motels and this place is quiet. Hosts are friendly too and staff are great.
Has a full oven in the kitchenette. More modern places around, but they don't offer what this place has at this price point. What James and co. do is done to a very good standard.
The Villa Rouge is in a beautiful old house in a quiet neiborhood in Invercargill. Our room was very comfortable. The house is extensively decorated with beautiful artwork. The hosts are delightful. We would stay there again and recommend it to others. We used this as a staging stop for taking the ferry to Stewart Isalnd. Invergargill is a relatively large city with many services. We stumbled on an excellent breakfast in the motercycle museum downtown.
Super helpful staff on reception, helped me charge my hybrid car. i liked they went out there way which you dont always find . enjoyed the pool and sauna and breaky bar always a winner. good grounds and had fun trip with me and my younger son. ticked all our boxes. most resort like hotel type place ur find in Invercargill
This place was a much nicer than expected. It was more like a home than a hotel. Would highly recommend especially for families. Super quiet, loads of parking both near our room and on the street. The kitchen and living area were both much larger than I realized. If you are staying in Invercargill this is a fantastic hotel.
AAA+ host and accommodation. Exceptionally clean house with everything you could possibly ask for. Very comfortable beds. High quality fixtures and furnishings. Oh, and all that for a very reasonable price. Infinitely better than staying at a hotel or motel. Again, a AAA+ experience.
The room size is good for family even I have 2 big boys.
The room also has cooking facility for us to make breakfast even dinner.
The location is really good and the supermarket just a walking distance.
I am highly recommend if you stay in Invercargill.
Loved the warm welcome we received remotely, as we were checking in after hours. The unit was spotless and very well equipped! Love that there was recycling (something I find lacking in NZ hotels) and that the laundry facilities were free of charge.
The furnishings were lovely and of beautiful quality, owning an interior design service I always take notice of hotel rooms and Quest Invercargill had high quality clean and comfortable furniture and amenities.
We loved the lodges! Super comfortable beds with excellent linen, and everything else beautifully done from the breakfasts to the bathrooms. We highly recommend for luxury and comfort in invercargill.
We travel a lot and have stayed in many motels in NZ. This is the one we would recommend the most.
This motel is not only super clean and tidy, but also very pet-friendly. Highly recommended.
Merlyn is amazing and she keeps her lovely backpackers place immaculate. the photos don’t do it Justice. Clean, generous host, beautiful place, great location. absolutely loved my stay.
Spacious living and kitchen area and have two good size bedrooms. The reception lady provided a good introduction of Invercargill and bluff and gave us maps.
