Its location is very convenient, close to a Paknsave and the CBD. The place was also quiet and had all the necessary things we needed. The staff were super friendly, very much a relief after my stopover in Auckland.

Every time we stop by we are always surprised by how much Hamilton has to offer. We really enjoyed the main streets along the river on the West and East banks, around the Waikato museum and the theatre currently under construction. Go visit Made on the East bank, great for food and local produce in a beautifully designed settings.

We like the room, easy to access with no worries about the key. Wifi was working, easy parking as well.
But no spoons only teaspoons and only two toilet rolls.
3 of us with 3 cups, 3 plates, 3 glasses, 3 sachet of coffee, tea and sugar. It was unusual to see that. Maybe we missed something that we were not prepared for.
Thank you, apart from that it was great to get out and about with the purpose of our visit.

Trying to find the places that we had to go to was interesting as we kept getting lost. I don't think Hamilton is very easy to get around. Went to the Hamilton Zoo really enjoyed it. We ate most of our meals at the Hamilton Workingmens Club which was very nice a great menu.

I didn't feel very safe. A lot of social housing tenants.
I didn't feel very safe. A lot of social housing tenants. Went for a walk and had to negotiate lots and lots of discarded supermarket trolleys just disbanded in the street . Such a pity for what could be a beautiful destination.
Hamilton Gardens. The purpose for the trip exceptional. Well worth the drive down from Auckland.

We went specifically to visit the Gardens.
We went specifically to visit the Gardens. These are so magnificent I would hate to think people could miss them. Having been told it would take us many hours, we were surprised that we were through leisurely in about 2 1/2 hours. We were lucky enough to be there for Balloons over Hamilton - great spectacle, and 2 perfect days!!

When we first arrived, we need to refuel the car.
When we first arrived, we need to refuel the car. We went to the nearest petrol station and wondered why the pump wasn’t working. We had to prepay for our fuel. No signage to advise that and where we come from this isn’t the norm so we were confused and it was not a good first impression of Hamilton. We only stayed there as it is close to Waitomo Caves, but now that we have been, we would not choose to stay there again.
The location is perfect. The room is comfortable and has what I needed. It is an old hotel (Victorian style in the rooms) so do not expect modern but importantly my room was clean. I have stayed here before as I know what to expect and the location is great.
The gentleman who checked me in was very helpful and polite. I also received a lovely complimentary basket with some minibar goodies which was much appreciated and I was pleasantly surprised!
The breakfast had a huge variety of food and was so very tasty. The cleaners were absolutely friendly and professional and would like to thank the cleaner with the tamoko on her chest as she was so nice to us. We did leave a bottle of red wine and chips for her but forgot to write a note. The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff in all areas of the hotel were incredibly helpful and professional.
Me and my family really enjoyed our stay, good privacy , big spacious 2 bedroom apartment, my kids loved the spa and pool , good location handy to everything. We would definitely come back again . We traveled from the Far North to stay here and explore what Hamilton had to offer glad we chose Heartlands Ambassador Hotel 👍👍
This is the cleanest place I've ever stayed at, I never walk on hotel carpets in bare feet but I had no issue doing it at this place, great facilities, comfortable bed, great shower, all round fabulous place to stay. The manager was lovely went above and beyond to be helpful.
Can't recommend this place high enough
Owners were friendly and excellent room, facilities, breakfast was exceptional 👌 Better than a hotel accommodation. Affordable price and worth every dollar. They make all there guests have a 5 Star 🌟 experience. Would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation. This is my good too place for Hamilton 👍
The house itself was immaculate, everything you could ask for.
Tidy new build home, very central to everything you need not far from the CBD.
Communication was exceptional which made checking into the home a breeze.
Will definitely consider this home for future trips to Hamilton.
Clean place, comfy bed, good internet, close to Hamilton garden which is the most interesting tourist attraction in Hamilton. Also good connection to the highways leading to Hobbiton and Waitomo Caves. So quite a convenient base for day trips there.
We liked everything . We dont have anything that we dislike . Everything exceeded our expectation . Weve been in alot of hotels in hamilton and this is the best so far . From staff ,rooms buffet and breakfast. What else can i say . Was perfect .
Very pleasant hotel with a tasty complimentary breakfast, kitchen facilities in the room, a nice little pool. Staff were very helpful. Good value for money. Walkable distance to the amazing Hamilton Gardens.
The location for what we were doing (Te Awa River Trail & Hamilton Gardens) was fantastic. Jumped straight on the trail from the accommodation.
The room was super clean & very comfortable beds.
Breakfast was more than adequate for us. I love the quirky style of the dining area and the hotel generally. It's very comfortable and relaxing particularly being away from the central city.
The best accommodation we found in Hamilton. We will be back next time. Super clean, very comfortable and large room, the actual room is better than the photos.
