Great city, there is still a lot of work going on around the city following the 2011 earthquake but the work completed so far looks fantastic. Oxford terrace is a beautiful place to sit and have a drink and something to eat. Dimitris Souvlaki is superb. Paddy McNaughtons and The Church are great places for a beer or 3. Loved my stay there, hope to be back soon.

I grew up there but it is so different after the earthquakes of 2010+. A lot of strange modern architecture in the CBD which differers greatly to the previous old english feel of the city and most of it no longer feels like the place I grew up! A beautiful place to visit all the same. Wild landscapes and rugged nature all at the doorstep. Arthurs Pass and Kaikoura as examples.

Such a pretty city, historic and modern with great food and beverage options, easy to walk around or grab a scooter if you want to cover more ground. The Fable was a great option to stay smack bang in the middle of town. We had our teenage children and they loved the city as well. The tram was outside our door, the shopping district a short walk and the open spaces and parks were a bonus. We walked to the cricket and loved the vibe at the Markets which has everything food and drink known to man. Lots of fun had in this city.SSelinaAustralia - 10Scored 10

Christchurch is a lovely city still going through the revamping after the earthquake, but the feeling of the city is very peaceful and serene. There is plenty to see and do. If your fit you can walk everywhere in the cbd otherwise local buses get you places or the on off tram at a cost. Catch a local bus to the gondola. The botanical gardens are perfect. Punts on Avon are fun and calming. They allow for disabled people to get on and a higher seat. To much to say, go check it out yourself.

Excellent in-house gym, pool, and sauna amenities. Friendly staff. Less than half the price of the hotel in the same building.
