Whilst the location of this hotel is very handy with it being just on the motorway. The condition of the place was appalling. On first sight it looks scruffy, only half the signage worked and it looks like it needs a good coat of paint. The rooms are super basic, which would be fine if they were clean which they weren't. We ended up having to pay for this hotel but we didn't stay as it would have spoiled our holiday.

Excellent location off the motorway and very convenient for trip south to the coast. Bed comfortable and quiet night. Nice restaurants in Macon but had a drink in bar after. Hotel is dated and needs a refresh but you will barely notice if you have been driving 12 hours! Lovely staff.

The apartment was ok, just the smell of sewage is really bad, the entrance door, key area & steps up to the apartments is that bad, you think your going into a ghetto
Macon, I took my wife to the 360 Hotel roof terrace for tge sunset & views over Macon, fortunately it brightened up from the earlier rain.. but the service was a little slow, & trying to pay was taking so long a queue developed of about 12 people.. problem was... 1 person using the only tablet to pay the bill.. nice place though, unlike the open air parking by the river, as my wife & I were too busy looking through the trees to find a space to park my American pick up truck, we then walked off to the apartment away from the entrance, only returning at 08.00 to find a full size market in the car park, & my truck gone... a local helped & showed me the signs at the entrance, No Parking between 00.00 - 12.00.. went to local police station & waited until 09.00, when they opened, they apologised but its my fault, €15 taxi to the compound, & €126 release fee, we left lost 3 hrs.. then caught heavy traffic to & around Lyon... so use tge underground parking

Macon was not at all as expected - v run down, lots of shops/restaurants closed, very industrial and v little to do other than to walk along the river and only so much of that you can do.
But ... if you like churches its a good place to go

Mâcon is an up and coming town with warm and welcoming people, interesting walks, lovely river side promenades and seemingly a wide variety of good restaurants. We particularly like discovering the little shops dotted all around the central old down. Great city, One to visit again.

Local wine from Maconsise (the region).
Local wine from Maconsise (the region). Rate themselves second to other regions. I challenge you to agree.
Take a trip to Cluny.
The mountains make a dive for the river in a beautiful green carpet of vineyards.
Go see for yourself.
We arrived late and have been welcomed by a very attentive young men who made some phonecalls to find an (still) open restaurant for us. He gave us helpful information and recommendations and we choose a nice place with wonderful food (Millésime Mâcon) for a late dinner!
We especially liked the hotels breakfast and would come back for it. Easygoing and welcoming, wonderful cheese, high quality food, very friendly host!
Location is perfect. Minutes walk from everything in Macon and easy to park on the street. I think it is free to park but it was the weekend so we didn't really check. Bathroom and shower good. Kitchenette very good although we didn't use it. Big room. TV. Fan. We also asked if we could check out at 12PM and they said yes, which was nice.
Ideally located just off the motorway, we stayed here overnight on our way to the south of France. The rooms and hotel have a budget feel but was perfect for us as our dog was allowed to go with us everywhere within the hotel grounds. There is a nice small pool area so great to unwind with a beer after driving all day from Calais.
Extremely convenient to the nearby Autoroute, we were practically on the exit ramp. It was not fancy, but for a roadside hotel, it had everything we needed, beds, bathroom and TV. It was convenient to Macon and we were able to walk along the river before settling in for the evening.
The apartment was very well set up and felt spacious. The parking was free and easy. Macon is doing a lot of improvements in the pedestrian zones which looks nice and will look even nicer soon. We had exceptional meals in the area most notably le poisson d’or.
This hotel is in a great location, easy walk into the old town and the river front, Staff helpful and friendly and a reasonable breakfast.
The parking is very good and truly secure, but must be booked in advance.
Very friendly and helpful receptionist, warm welcome, comfortable bed, all very clean, near Vieux Sts. Vincent and Ursuline museum, parking in front of hotel, river view, good restaurants right around the corner.
Perfect stopover for the long trip back to Calais. More comfortable, and cheaper than a basic roadside hotel. David was great to deal with and was really helpful. Thank you.
Just on the highway by lion. Great place to stop over for the night. Reception is open 24/7 which is very rare for hotels on the highway .
Beds can be better.
