Beautiful hotel room, large bathroom area with a very nice garden view. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Anything we needed or wanted to know they were always there to help at any moment. The pool is modern and clean with attentive pool staff always ready to take any drink order! Breakfast and dinner were quite good, dinner was always more of a diverse option being a new theme every night. That being said however, they do not serve you any drink or even water as part of the evening dinner which was something we found quite odd. You can buy some water\drinks from the bar however so it was alright in the end. Just a rather strange practice I thought I would mention.
The entire property was frequently maintained and cleaned around the clock which was a nice touch.

The welcoming was good. We reached early and we goth the opportunity to visit the hotel and know where the facilities were located even before having access to our room! Room was very spacious and cosy!
A variety of restaurants are available. The dinner buffet at La Citronelle was awesome! A different buffet theme is available every day. The Fisherman's buffet was sumptuous.
The swimming pools are nice, especially the heated one, which is suitable for kids. If you need some peace of mind, then the Serenity pool is a very good idea!
Overall, it was a very short nice stay, although the weather was not very clement.

Highly recommended! We love everything about this hotel - the facilities, the staff and the food. There are two big swimming pools, many restaurants and bars. The resort is bigger than we expected! The options are plenty and there is live cooking. Every night they have different activities like live singers, karaoke, etc. The staff are absolutely friendly and made us feel like we are the only guests at the hotel.The hotel is about one hour and a half from the airport and easy to reach. We used a booking.com taxi option /around 25 euro/. The hotel is right next to a beautiful sandy beach. There are many sunbeds and umbrellas - free of charge. The room is not so big, but the beds are super super comfy! We booked a half board option which means that the drinks at dinner are not included /just for information - this is the all hotels policy in Mauritius/. We had an amazing stay and really enjoyed it!

We had an exceptional stay at Bella Mare; the facilities are beautiful and well maintained, the dining experiences were exquisite (I still dream about the duck at Duck Laundry) and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be returning. The beach is beautiful white sand and clear water.
We were not travelling with children and found it refreshing how the right balance is struck between an adult experience while more than adequately catering for children as well.
