Our stay in Sottomarina was great.
Our stay in Sottomarina was great. Easy walking distance to Chioggia town, but with a less touristy atmosphere that we enjoyed. During our stay in October, the beach was quiet and just a very short walk from the apartment. Breakfast was pastry and coffee at a local bakery about 2 blocks from the apartment. Our hostess provided lots of good local information whenever we inquired.

It's a nice seaside resort. Plenty of beach front, plenty of attractions, plenty of night life. Very close (walking distance) to Chioggia which is a charming medieval city with plenty of places to eat, romantic canals and a thriving nightlife.

Great staff, very helpful. The bungalow was clean and pretty. No pop up in the sink, bathroom window too high to be opened. Not one dishwasher tab , no salt, no soap, etc, you have tò buy everything for the kitchen and the bathroom The location Is good, quiet, but not too far from Sottomarina

The city is close enough to Venice to get easily to the city and far away enough to avoid crowds. There is a bus that goes to Venice - every 30 / 60 minutes (the last one leaves Venice at 1 AM) There are some nice restaurants and walking areas. Beaches are long and wide. There are plenty of umbrellas available (I do not know the price per day).

Highlights were the huge comfortable bed, the AC system and electronic shutters!!! Duplex style is over two floors , with separate mezzanine room with it's own tv and balcony - great for a family of four. The reception staff (family business) were so friendly and helpful, thank you! Pool and beach beds were a bonus too! Plenty to see and do in Sottomarina and Chioggia, with Venice only 1 hr by direct bus. Sorry we had to leave....
