In general the town is okay, and it looks like a good business area because of the presence of the mines. However, my observations it looks like some work still needs to be done to improve the standard of living for majority the people around there, the streets/roads in the main town are riddled with pot-holes everywhere, I have went there for work more than five times and I have not seen traffic police. I think the Mayor of the area needs to approach the mining companies in the area and plead with them to assist rejuvinate the main town, fix the pot-holes, increase traffic police visibility and make sure it does not deteriorate to worse. In corporation with Pretoria, Brits, they must expand the highway (N4) to increase the lanes.BarengSouth Africa - 8.0Scored 8.0

Beautiful garden, very clean and tidy room. Everything you need is there. Wouldn't stay more than one night for its a very small crampy room. Good bed, nice chairs. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice safe parking. Thank you for a good nights rest.

The Waterfall Mall is nearby for the convenience of shopping as well as restaurants and petrol stations. It is almost an hour's drive to Hartbeespoort Dam and on the way through Maritana platinum Mine, nice view. Nice place to lodge in, friendly welcoming people. I lodger in Anew Hunters Hotel built around the Magilsburg mountains

Considering all the reviews I read before booking, I had high expectations but that was not the case. Firstly I did not get the room I booked (with mountain view) because it was given to the other guests whom arrived just before me. The alternative room that I was given, the spare key for staff to get in was not working so in order for my room to get cleaned, I was requested not to lock it, of which I was not comfortable with. The staff however was very friendly and helpful, loved them. The place is said to be quiet and I am in agreement with that. It was just unfortunate that we had noisy neighbors and it was unpleasant. I'd recommend for the place to at least have breastfast as an option, to install soap holders in the shower maybe! and to have plugs next to the bed. Overall the place is beautiful and clean. What you see online, the pictures of the rooms, is exactly that, so they get a ⭐ for that.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

It is a very nice place and it's affordable. The only thing I wast happy about is that the is a form that they send before your booking date to complete and submit 48 hours before your stay. The form is in Afrikaans. So I ended up answering to the best of my understanding. When I arrived at the reception the lady who was checking us in did not explain things like we have wifi. I had a form with me to the place but could not read it because it was written in Afrikaans. Please provide to the black guests English forms it is still our universal language.Thuli

My daughter's calamari was a little disappointing, but overall still my favourite hotel between Botswana and Pretoria, will always stop there when travelling between these 2 places just for the experience.
