Oceana has the perfect location for sea and bush lovers. We had exceptional views of the sea and some wildlife grazing from our room. The rooms are opulent and spacious. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The office staff always went an extra mile, and even printed personal documents for me upon request. The ranger, Desmond, was quite well-informed and kept us entertained during the game drive.

Frank is an absolutely fantastic host! He is so accommodating and recommended wonderful restaurants for us to experience in the area and prepared a wonderful fire in the evening to sit alongside. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the kids loved it! Frank was awesome in taking photo's for us to ensure we captured memories. Highly recommend!!

I have mixed feelings about giving Beach Break a good review, because if I award Lillian and Allan with the recognition that they absolutely deserve then I fear we will never get to stay there again solely because staying here will become a bucket list entry such as the seven wonders of the world. A Bnb is exactly what it sounds like; decent food and a bed to rest your head, so I more than truly believe that the name 'Beach Break Bnb' is completely false advertising because this was so much more than a meal and a cot. Beach break truly offered the most impeccably beautiful rooms that were attended to daily to ensure that the standard was kept, the most incredible fresh breakfast that kept us happy and full for the day ahead until dinner, and so much more that I unfortunately can't seem to find the words to describe. Not only that, but our hosts Lillian and Allan truly became part of the family within mere hours of our arrival. Personality and authenticity can't be store bought or dressed up with a ribbon, and that is a key element to the hospitality industry that you can search far and wide for without any luck. Many feel home sick towards the end of their extended holidays away from home, but leaving Port Alfred's borders and knowing that was the last morning that we would wake up to waves and a delectable homemade breakfast brought more sadness to our hearts that anything else. Had we brought our precious dog and had a few of the extended family members been present, I don't believe anyone could have convinced us to leave. Trying to completely sum up our love for Beach break is completely in vain, so all I can say further is that it is an essential experience to all. Thank you Lilian and Allan for being our home away from home. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, we'll be back! xxx

The fact that there was a washing machine in the apartment made our stay so much easier.
Quaint town. Beautiful seafront. Summer weather is outstanding. Town has all of the conveniences one wants. Supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops, take aways, banks and ATMs. Boat and canoe hire. Extremely popular town over the Easter and year end holidays. With good reason!

We just love Port Alfred, it is Quiet and not overcrowded / Pick n Pay Centre very nice - very friendly locals / Of course Guido's wonderful pizza / beautiful golf course / 28km of river to cruise up / the Rosehill Mall not too big, actually small but sufficient with a huge Spar. Car wash while you shop. Overall is Port Alfred just the perfect place to stay - right in the centre between East London and Port ELizabeth - 150km each way.

Port Alfred is a wonderful small town on the coast with many beaches and the river that one can boat on for quite some distance. In the area there are many other attractions such as museums, the giant pineapple, game reserves and other small towns that are worth a visit.

We stopped here for a night on our trip along the garden route. We were pleasantly surprised at this little coastal town and how beautiful it is. We ate at a restaurant called Tash's and the staff were so friendly. Being accustomed to Johannesburg pricing, we were also blown away by how affordable everything is in Port Alfred. I would think that during peak months, it could get quite busy, but early September seemed to be a good time to visit this cozy time.
We loved this hotel in Port Alfred. You could see that there is a thought behind everything. The rooms are big and very comfortable, all amenities provided. Spotlessly cleaned every day. Breakfast is exceptional with so many hot/cold dishes to choose from. The staff is excellent and always willing to do the extra mile for the guest. The location is very good, 900 meters from the beach and close to everything else. We highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful vacation in this area.
Maybe due to lack of funds the property is not kept in good repair. Unmatched crockery, poor maintainance, scruffy furniture etc.
The property is on the beach front which should be an advantage but there is a very noisy pub 100m ways playing VERY loud music which you can hear over the TV not cool at all.
Marlene the manager is beyond helpful and gets back to you to help immediately she is a real gem
Great spot nearby the beach and some restaurants. The apartment was cosy and had everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. The living area was great for chilling out and the seating area outside would be an ideal spot if you wanted to have a braai. Highly recommend. Marlene was excellent with communicating and her son met us to show us the place and give us the keys.
Angela is such a lovely host, mam Ange was also very nice!!
The place is absolutely stunning, beautiful views clean and excellent facilities (the units have everything that one needs in a self catering accommodation).
Would have loved to stay here for our entire vacation in Port Alfred, but the other dates were fully booked.
This is a beautiful apartment that offers great comfort and relaxation. The lounge has large windows with a beautiful sea view. I enjoyed cooking a christmas lunch in that nicely sized kitchen that is well stocked for self catering. There's also breathtaking views from the main bedroom window.
I like the room set-up and the room space.
The only thing wish made me upset was the gate remote control which was not working. I have to spend 2 hours in my car at night waiting for the remote to respond. I felt very bad and I was taking my wife for the first time to Port Alfred.
There was no breakfast it was self catering .The location was not so easy because when you come from Burthust I can not see whats written on the signs because the boards are facing the opposite side .I think there should be Mansfield on both sides.
Villa Majestic is a little gem situated in the less busy part of Port Alfred. Close to the beach, our rooms had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Burnette was a lovely host and the breakfast was great.
This little self catering cabin is fitted out with everything you could possibly need during a few days away from home, its clean and private and we were very comfortable.
The water bottles are a nice touch.
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Kowie River Chalets, the place is exactly as seen in advert pictures.its very clean and the staff was very helpful, will surely come back in summer.
No there was no breakfast there, you cook your own food,Then as for the area... its very very nice and safe i recomend it for anyone who wants to visit Port Alfred thou.
