We just love Port Alfred, it is Quiet and not overcrowded / Pick n Pay Centre very nice - very friendly locals / Of course Guido's wonderful pizza / beautiful golf course / 28km of river to cruise up / the Rosehill Mall not too big, actually small but sufficient with a huge Spar. Car wash while you shop. Overall is Port Alfred just the perfect place to stay - right in the centre between East London and Port ELizabeth - 150km each way.

Port Alfred is a wonderful small town on the coast with many beaches and the river that one can boat on for quite some distance. In the area there are many other attractions such as museums, the giant pineapple, game reserves and other small towns that are worth a visit.

We stopped here for a night on our trip along the garden route. We were pleasantly surprised at this little coastal town and how beautiful it is. We ate at a restaurant called Tash's and the staff were so friendly. Being accustomed to Johannesburg pricing, we were also blown away by how affordable everything is in Port Alfred. I would think that during peak months, it could get quite busy, but early September seemed to be a good time to visit this cozy time.
Location. Flat layout. Easy access to all sights. Pleasant neighbours. Covered parking. Open plan layout. Very quick assistance from owner's agent. Guido's Restaurant on the beachfront is only a few hundred meters away from the flat. Very easy access. A few more hundred meters down the beachfront is Kelly's Beach on the West Beach section. Stunning blue flag beach with full-time life guards, bathrooms, tuck-shop and magnificent views. Also very close is the Royal Alfred Marina with beautiful boats, houses and hotel.
we had the self catering unit no 2 and everything about it was beautiful. breathtaking view both day and night. location was great and will definitely return. hosts and staff exceptional. thanks guys
The house is amazing for a family, the room was quite spacious and we enjoyed the living, dining and outside space. We enjoyed complete privacy and tranquility and it was very close to the beach.
Right on the beach but very private. Enormous, comfortable bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms with all the trimmings. Made to feel at home by friendly hostess who cooed us a delicious breakfast.
What a surprise off-the-beaten track from Port Alfred. We will definitely return for a family holiday at this location! The lapa area down at the river is superb and child friendly
Very comfortable, clean, lots of natural sunlight into the rooms with skylights, gas hob, gas braai outside, walk to the beach, 82”Tv with Netflix, parking inside the garage, safe.
The room was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable would really recommend this place to anyone coming up to Port Alfred and I would book in with them again anytime
