It offers a great variety of interesting activities and wide range of accomodation. I will surely repeat the visit and spend a day or two in different locations to explore the area more. I was able to see giraffes and other game.

Misty Hills Country Hotel is a wonderful place to stay.
Misty Hills Country Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The thatched-roof bungalos are spaceous with lovely interior décor and furniture, and are laid out along many winding brick paths in a lush tropical setting with flowers, shrubs, and trees, some with botanical labels on them. Along the paths are many splendid African art carvings, statues, small flowing brooks, ponds, and beautiful scenic views. The grounds have been meticulously planned and laid out, as have the rooms and buildings on the many acres in this resort. Each room, dining area, meeting room, and the reception area are adorned with African art—sculptures, paintings, and historic artefacts/memorabilia, with windows that look out in to the tropical gardens and trees. The service is first class. The accompanying huge breakfast buffet has dozens of choices of fresh fruit, warm and cold meats, special dishes, cheeses, cereals, and pastries, with several people ready to cook any personal preference you have, as well as table service in the large dining hall with its African motif surrounding you. Of course, the world-renowned Carnivore restaurant is on the Misty Hills grounds and is a real treat for those who enjoy a meal of game in a festive setting with meat delivered to your table on large skewers. There is also a nice dining room with a good lunch and dinner menu adjacent to the reception area. In every way, this hotel is great and a wonderful experience; we’re from Canada and have returned every time we’re in the Johannesburg area.

The scenery is lovely and so was breakfast- although no cappuccino. I feel they deliberately did not include pictures of the bathroom as had I known it was a shower over the bath, I would not have stayed there.

I enjoyed my weekend , my partner took me to the best places and we had fun with activities that we did. It was easy to get around and we just felt that we need more time to finish off the activities that we did not do, so definitely coming back to finish off what we started.

We have been there before and chose to stay at an all inclusive resort centrally located to enable us to explore the many attractions on offer in the area. Muldersdrift is just far enough out of major city centers without all the hustle associated with them. There are so many attractions to choose from and places to see and visit that a week might cover it.
Nothing went well. The room had spider webs all over and the bed had red worms and termites all around. We didn't stay for even 2 hours and checked out instantly. The staff wasn't supportive and didn't provide any solution for the same. They just started showing the non-refundable policy of the hotel. I was really looking forward to staying here and hence, I booked it for two days. We didn't get the refund still we checked out without thinking of money as health is more important
The first morning when we had the breakfast, it was not a buffet breakfast.
The food was terrible. We ordered eggs and they were very raw when they were served to us. The bacon was terrible... The waiter was confused and did not even take our order for the hot breakfast correctly. It was really bad because we sounded like dissatisfied customers and nags.
But when the hotel restaurant was opened for buffet breakfast we really enjoyed it.
Everything. The place was equipped with everything you would need in self catering environment. You can either cook for yourself or order in from restaurant menu.
Breakfast was fresh.
The garden out of this world and is also the place is a nursery, so you can buy plants for yourself to take with.
Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented.
Staff were supper attentive and helpful.
The venue was stunning with lovely shady trees and plenty of areas to sit under cover or near the pool .
A superb wedding venue .
It is the best place ever, the friendly staff really made the place my second home away from home.
My expectations were exceeded and I have decided to make this place my second home when I am around Muldersdrift.
Risa House far exceeded our expectations. I piece of heaven in the middle of muldersdrift. We will definitely book in when we visit family again! Perhaps for a little longer next time!
Staff was very friendly and the views of the mountains are just amazing, definitely coming back. Pool area was great too with activities like valley ball and a jumping castle ❤️
The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. The kids loved the play area and the breakfast was exeptional. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.
