Beware of staying in an "HOTEL" calling itself Il Moulino Relais
The description in Booking com is definately wrong.
It's not an hotel by all means. Its a villa.
we stayed there a horrible night and ran away the next morning
We were alone without any staff at a open and deserted villa who describes itself as an top Hotel.
Keep out

Except missing chairs in the room (no one chair at all), and no electrical receptaples ( where to connect your computer?? no chance),. forgot to mention that wi-fi signal there is only in the ground floor but very weak or no signal at first floor, Also, looks like new practice, almost all hotels have no reception service, you never see the owner, only key collecting by means of code/pin but very often the owners not sending in time mentioned pin/code, I know it is something new, modern, but that is all together a big bulsh..t, hotel owners are going to loose clients I'm sure and I'm not sorry about them....

Piacenza is the kind of town I love to visit: an under the radar gem that has some lovely architecture, some interesting museums, great food, and very friendly locals who are really happy you came to visit. Very few tourists, and most of them were Italian! It is comfortably walkable, on the Milan to Rimini line that goes right across Emilia-Romagna, and I'd say it's well worth a day-and-a-half visit. Another lovely town quite close by with the same kind of vibe (though its a bit more famous because of Antonio Stradivari, a centuries-long tradition of violin making, and the violin museum there) is Cremona.

The only thing I enjoyed about Piacenza was how compact the city center is. However, there aren't many places that are worth traveling there for. By foot is the easiest means of getting around Piacenza...it's not really necessary to take public transport.

There are too many nice places to go in Italy to spend time here. In fact, to me, all of Emilia-Romagna can be skipped. Try Lombardia, Umbria, Toscana . . . hell, it's hard to find a region in Italy that doesn't offer much more than E-R.

Beautiful city!
Beautiful city!
The city centre is magnificent, the little shops on main street are charming.
I would recommend to visit Piazza Cavalli and Duomo and just walk around the city centre. Also visit Parco della Galleana (its a park) is very beautiful specially with the autumn colours.
Take a stroll down pubblico passeggio.
Lastly I would finish the evening with a dinner at LoFai restaurant (incredible vegan food for vegans and non vegans...but I would recommend to call ahead as it gets quite crowded) and drinks at Caffè dei Mercanti which is just meters away from Piazza Cavalli and it is a charming place.
We picked the hotel for a somewhat unplanned additional overnight stop caused by traffic delays in the Alps on our way to the south of Italy. Previous experience of Best Western hotels has been good, so that was a significant factor in our choice. And the Best Western Park exceeded all previous experience. Super clean, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, wonderful air conditioning (40 degrees outside). Excellent and plentiful parking, and the added bonus of an excellent dinner and breakfast in the restaurant.
If you ever find yourself in the vicinity of Piacenza and you're in need of a place to stay, look no further - Villa Dom will satisfy all your desires.
A wonderful host, great food, fantastic vintage rooms and beautiful surroundings. The parking is gated and on site. There is a pool if you want to cool off and the property is large enough to take a stroll.
The breakfast didn't leave any wishes unfulfilled and the espresso was great too.
Beautiful apartment, perfect for a (small) group of friends who want to stay in the lovely area of piacenza. The location was very central to everything and the host made a reservation for us in one of his favourite restaurants, where we had traditional foods and a wonderful evening. We parked our car 100 metres across the street for free.
We are a family of four with a puppy dog and stayed there over night on our way to France. The owner is an extremely lovely lady and the apartment is more than a solid place to stay. No ChiChi, but equipped with all the stuff needed the location is as well near autoroute and the centre of Piacenza. We can highly recommend it!
Piacenza was a stop on the way to France so we wanted a hotel outside of the city. This hotel worked well for our purposes. Ample parking and easy to find. Modern. Breakfast was not included in the price but it was very inexpensive so we included it. Breakfast was very good.
Great location for an early flight from Milan the following morning.
Staff were very friendly, advising the best place and cheapest place to park as well as recommending an excellent local restaurant for dinner.
Loved the bar on the 7th floor.
Rooms are well equipped
Its a very nice and cozy hotel in the middle of the city. Good connectivity to the station and city center. Plus the hotel was really kind with the process of late checking. Finally they offer some very tasty complimentary teas and packed bread in the room.
Excellent location, very easy to reach from the motorway and, at the same time, close to the city centre. Clean hotel with comfortable and spacious rooms. Very quiet at all times. Parking on the side of the hotel.
Amazing property just outside Piacenza with all modern amenities, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Paola was very friendly and helpful for anything we needed. Magnificently landscaped garden and outdoor area.
BEWARE NOT TO GET CLOSE
This place describes itself as an HOTEL. It's a complete misleading description. This is a deserted villa without any staff. You are the only person there
BE CAREFUL
Lovely jewel of a place. Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful rooms. This was our third stay there in a month as we traveled around while visiting our daughter in Piacenza.
Before I booked the hotel the told me that aircondition is inside but when I got there it was just a fan inside and very hot in the room . That is very bad
Unfortunately have nothing to highlight as a positive thing from the hotel, perhaps the kind attention despite the poor quality of the facilities overall
