Having stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, we found very little to be satisfied about, on our latest stay. Apart from the young guy on reception, who did everything he could to sort out the issues we came across, and was very professional.
The restaurant was open for breakfast and this was as good as it always has been, so a positive.

Academic and Artistic Greatness
An artistic gem, Padua (or Padova in Italian) seamlessly combines awe-inspiring heritage and a modern vibe. Counting Galileo among its former tutors, the University has the world’s oldest UNESCO World Heritage-listed botanical garden.
Across the road is huge Prato della Valle, a green square with a canal lined by 78 statues, and home to a Saturday market. A market is also held in squares near to Palazzo della Ragione whose multi-levelled arches and vaulted wooden ceiling are an impressive sight. Cobbled, porticoed streets lead to the finely-crafted Gran Loggia and clock tower.
Every church has incredible décor, but the most famous is Saint Anthony of Padua, boasting the bones of the saint, an impressive 7 cupolas and 4 cloisters. The square in front has a statue by Donatello. Padua Cathedral's simple exterior houses amazing frescoes inside the baptistery by Giotto, creator of the jewel in Padua’s crown – the Scrovegni Chapel. His 14th century frescoes there have been meticulously restored to be as vibrant as the day they were painted.
The closest airport is Venice Marco Polo, but before you head there from your Padua hotel, apartment or B&B take time to enjoy the narrow streets around Palazzo del Bò or the Jewish district.

Truly beautiful city full of history. the saying "Venice is beautiful and Padua is its sister" is true. To truly appreciate the beauty of the city I recommend the periods between April and May and never on weekends.

Beautiful city with plenty of culture and architectural landmarks. I would recommend it for anyone coming to Venice for its distance and relative affordability in comparison with the most tourist city of Veneto.

Padova is a fabulous city for people who like history, art, architecture, and culture. It is easy to move around the city on foot, and the city bus service is cheap, frequent, reliable and comfortable for places further out. The large student population makes for a very vibrant atmosphere, as do the outdoor markets in the piazzas.
The Scrovegni Chapel and Basilica of St Anthony are outstanding places to visit, but if you have time, tour the University. It is an inspiring experience to stand where giants of science, medicine and philosophy developed the ideas that shaped the world. Here you can see the lectern from which Galileo taught mathematics, and the world's first anatomy and dissection theatre, as well as lecture halls where the walls are covered with plaques commemorating famous alumni.

Recommend University Tour, Scrovegni Chapel, and the Basilica of St Anthony. Baptistery of the Duomo was just incredible. Renaissance architecture of the city is stunning.
Enjoyed the small bars for Aperitivo
I will stay for a longer period next time

Padua is a really handy and lovely place to stay in between Verona and Venice, so you can pay slighlty less for accomodation there and then take day trips to Verona (1 hr train ride away) or Venice (45 minutes away).
The food was, on average, much better and cheaper in padua than Venice.

We stayed in Padova only one night, arriving around 5 pm.
We stayed in Padova only one night, arriving around 5 pm. We found lots and lots of places that served sandwiches and coffee/beer/wine but, in contrast to Udine, we had a hard time finding restaurants with real food. I would not go back.
We came for the first time and only for 1 night, but we were surrounded by the attention and care of Filippo and his family as if we were regular guests. Filippo told us a lot of interesting things about the city and recreation opportunities around. We were very surprised how beautiful and interesting Padova is. We felt the atmosphere of real Italy here, both in the house and in the city. It was a fantastic experience. We'll definitely come back. Thank you!
Even if it's a standard hotel, we were pleased by the amability of the staff, the quality of the cocktails and breakfast, the beds were HUGE and comfortable, the room was modern and very clean and the parking lot was sufficiently spacious for a fully booked hotel.
But the biggest surprise was the checkout time, which was at noon (12 PM) - generally, in Italy, you are expected to vacate the room at 10 AM, which is very early and it puts pressure on you.
The location was perfect on the side of the Basilica of St Anthony and an easy walk to Prato delle Valle. The tram from the train station left me about a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The front desk staff helped me find a nearby restaurant and were very polite answering questions. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I had a double for single use. The breakfast buffet was varied and abundant.
Perfect location near all the main attractions. Host spoke excellent English and was very easy to communicate with. He gave us an excellent recommendation for a restaurant - Enoteca dei Tadi. Apartment was super clean and looks to have been fully refurbished in the last few months or so. Bed was comfortable. Quiet. One of nicest places we stayed at during our trip to Italy.
A short walk from downtown. A comfortable room and bed. We were especially amazed by the outstanding breakfast and the kindness of the breakfast staff. It made our day.
It was nice that we were allowed to leave the car in the parking lot for a few more hours after check-out. Padova is beautiful, and this hotel is a perfect base for exploring it.
A little away from the highway (autobahn), this hotel offers good bang for your buck, especially for people that need to charge their EV. We were able to reserve the EV charger, and drive away the next day with 100% battery.
The breakfast was good and enough. The two rooms we booked have been a bit old fashioned, but ok.
This is a lovely hotel with some pleasing character. All aspects of the room and breakfast were highly satisfactory. The location is OK if you want to catch a tram/bus or train, but a bit far from the town centre, though not a problem for anyone with legs which work. Padova is a great base for a holiday.
I loved the size of the room, it was exceptionally clean, and the best part was to have the breakfast (which is very complete and delicious) in the garden. This was the best hotel I stayed in in Italy. I will definitely come back!
A quiet little hotel a stone throw from the Padova centre, with its own private parking (for a small fee) which always comes in handy in Italy. Really friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Rooms really clean and comfy.
Very nice variety for breakfast. It was nice to have scrambled eggs and bacon again for breakfast. Other good variety of choices as well. Room was spacious. Hotel was clean, easy to get to, and friendly staff.
I liked the hotel - very nicely located, good (particularly for Italy) breakfast, and authentic design: nice pictures on the walls, some statues. The room was clean, the amenities were nice,
Wonderful Hotel, on a road BEHIND THE FAMOUS SAINT ANTHONY SHRINE IN PADUA.. We were on Pilgrimage to Padua, and the Hotel suited our aim perfectly.. It was a 5 Min walk to the Shrine...
Very clean hotel with good city center location. Nice breakfast with pastries, hard boiled eggs, gluten free cereal packets, muesli, etc. Very friendly staff! Reasonable price.
The NH Hotel has all the amenities and favours of the NH hotels chain. Clean, good beds, delicious and huge breakfast. The reception staff was very kind and helpful.
