Malgrate is a small town located across the southern end of Lake Como from Lecco. It is very nice and avoids the hustle of the larger cities in the area but provides convenient access to all of them. Lecco is a short walk away with ferry access to all of Lake Como.

Malgrate is horrible . We really booked for the luxury of this hotel which was a huge disappointment. We thought this was going to be an amazing stay but it did not meet any expectations that was advertised through booking.com there were other ppl who spoke to felt the same but maybe they don’t complain I don’t usually I get on with it but the hot tub not working was awful

The area is really nice, clean, quiet, safe and has some really nice restaurants, views and great for walks in the morning and evening. Lecco is 25 minute walk and easy to do. You are away from all the hustle and bustle of Lecco by staying in Malgrate. Buses go to Bellagio which is also excellent! Covo Nord Ovest is an excellent restaurant and must go to place! Buses do not run as frequent, so ensure you check timetable before travelling, and buy bus tickets from newsagent opposite pharmacy.VishalUnited Kingdom

I simply cannot recommend it enough brilliant

What they are not saying is that the hotel is connected to an 4+ hotel "Promessi Sposi" and to get to lake side you cross this hotel. Which is ok. The spa area looks very nice, belonging to the other hotel, you need to pay to use it. It is a roof top bar and 2 restaurants connected, one in the hotel, the other on the lake. We tried both, first, fine cuisine, abd expensive, the second good.

The house is quite spacious and well equipped to cook for yourself. Very safe place to park your car as well, behind locked doors. The location is very private and close to nice restaurants and beach, I think Malgrate was a nicer place to stay than it would have been in Lecco.

Close to Lecco center and Malgrate walking. All facilities. Quiet appartment. A beautiful view on the lake. We were lucky to admire fireworks from our windows on june 25th. Beautiful flat.
