Nothing was too much trouble polite courteous staff.
Nothing was too much trouble polite courteous staff. Perfect in every way so much so I extended my stay over New Year. Unfortunately didn’t have a mobility room, wet room, but agreed for me to use the pool disabled facilities for which I was most grateful.
In fact the staff were so welcoming I felt like royalty.
The breakfast buffet was 1st class with so many options. I did have the full English breakfast one day only as the food wasn’t as hot as it should have been so ordered of the specials menu.

Public transportation was the best way to get to see most of the island. The restaurants were reasonably priced; look for Tenna Feast deals. The nightlife was great, with some nice late-night venues. It is rich in history and has some lovely architecture to see. If you like sea swimming, then the pools in the sea are fantastic.

A very very pretty place.
A very very pretty place. Lots going on, you could take a boat to Sark or Herm or even over to France. There were plenty of restaurants and bars and lots of shopping too. There is a castle there that you could walk to and a museum (you need to book for that) and even a historic library with activities for adults and kids to do. That was a hidden gem (was free) cos we had not booked the museum! and a bus terminus that could take you everywhere. The bus tickets were £1.50 flat fare so you could go really far if you wanted. We hopped on the bus to go to a few places. The bus timetables are very easy to read. It was very pedestrian friendly (although surrounded by hills!!).

St Peter Port was a small city and not as interesting as I expected. I did venture out an about. The weather certainly didn't help my visit. The day trips I took to Sark and Herm were FANTASTIC. I loved Sark.
The buses ran on time, but spent time waiting as they were not frequent.
Food near town was pricy, but there was a good restaurant at hotel near guest house, The Piette Hotel.
I was disappointed that Victor Hugo's house was closed.
Be careful where you eat - and plan as many places don't serve from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Interesting and nice looking place, plenty to see and lots...
Interesting and nice looking place, plenty to see and lots of reasonably priced food options. But the place is a bit on the conservative side, and everything closes pretty early. It's also VERY VERY hilly and the bus network isn't great.
Cost, location, hot water heater for tea/coffee, breakfast baskets, Information binder, area resource information (Tours, things to do in and around the area, bus schedules), ease of getting to bus stop, and most of all the friendly morning staff. I also liked that other guests respected the need to be quiet in the evenings. Rather than a hotel or guest house it felt more like a dorm room…one can hear everyone coming and going and even talking in their rooms. I was out a lot so It met my needs for a place to rest.
This hotel was clean with fantastic staff. The room was cleaned daily and all areas of the hotel were immaculate. The location of the hotel is a 10 minute walk (on quite a steep hill) from St Peter Port. We enjoyed the walk daily. Car parking is also available outside the hotel. We stayed here during Island Games week and despite it being very busy, service was great. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was fabulous with lots of different choices all freshly prepared for you with quality ingredients. The setting of the hotel is beautiful with great views from some areas. Both the Rock Garden restaurant and Buho are very pleasant too, but there are lots of good restaurants in nearby St Peter Port too. We also loved that we never felt anywhere was too crowded, despite the hotel being busy.
They are undergoing refurbishment and trying their best to upgrade. Good hanging space & excellent open shelving. The breakfast basket for the room was excellent:
Juice, corn flakes & a small glass bottle of milk, croissant, butter & jam & a yoghurt. Really convenient as a solo traveller.
Bus stops nearby. Walkable to St Peter Port in 10-15 minutes along the seafront.
the service was amazing.. its more than our expecttion.. we arrived late to hotel.. when we got there mr nick the owner was really nice, he was giving us everything we need in our rooms.. drop us to the resturant nearby.. and gave us idea where to go in town proper.. 100% satisfied with the service and highly recommend it to my friends and family.. thank you..

Pool, sauna and steam room were great, very powerful jacuzzi was outside on the decking and using it in the late afternoon sunshine was fabulous.
Easy to jump on a bus in to St Peter Port or it’s a 20 minute walk if you step it out.
Great selection at breakfast and the staff were attentive.
The location is very convenient for driving into St Peter Port or the sandy beaches to the north of the island. The bus is also very convenient and cheap. Everything you need for a very comfortable self catering stay is provided, including plentiful soft fluffy towels and bath robes.
The location if the hotel is exceptional with a view over the bay and the islands of Herm and Sark. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were good, with the extra bonus of cakes and desserts that are out of this world.
The hotel was very relaxed, staff were friendly and helpful and the health suite was well equipped with a lovely pool. We felt relaxed in the coffee/bar area and the gardens were lovely to walk around or just to sit in and relax. We would definitely stay again.
Good location just a short walk from St Peter Port centre. Very comfortable and clean accommodation, breakfast was excellent and staff very welcoming. Swimming pool was a bonus on hot days. Would stay here again
Brilliant place, absolutely wonderful. Staff were lovely. Room was clean, modern and comfortable, stocked with plenty of tea/coffee. Breakfast good value for money. One of the best hotels have stayed in.
Good breakfast with staff always available and eager to serve everyone. We had a room at the top with great view and we could walk to St. Peter Port easily. The room was clean.
it’s in the perfect place beautiful views staff are excellent and go the extra mile couldn’t fault the place it’s better than a lot of 5 star hotels real value for money
This hotel was recommended to me by a local, & it didn’t disappoint. Staff were friendly & helpful. I didn’t eat an evening meal there but the breakfast was excellent.
