Anguillara is a very beautiful place and a welcome respite from the “madness” in Rome. I would highly recommend the boat trip around the lake that only operates in summer. Great value for 5 euros. We didn’t have a car and at times it was difficult to find out accurate times for the buses and the boat across the lake. Beautiful old town right on the lake, next to a resort on the lake popular with locals and foreigners alike. Lots of bars and choices of cuisine. Stunning views. Lake swimming and other activities (wind sail boats, kite surfing, wind surfing). Having your own transport would make exploring the wider region easier although train and shuttle bus links through to Rome are easy.Chapman - 10Scored 10

Anguillara was a cute town on the lake with a lot of charm. We were surprised to see that there was a lot of nightlife even on a Thursday night. We stayed one night, and we felt that one night was enough to get a flavor of the town.

There is a children playground nearby. The apartment is not far from the picturesque lake of Bracciano and is at a reasonable distance from Rome. For us it was a great variant to see Rome and not to pay fortunes for accommodation.

The views from this property are even better in person, we would venture to say they're some of the most beautiful scenery we've been surrounded by on a holiday. The host (Barbara) was also very helpful and friendly - she went out of her way to ensure we had a great time. We'd recommend this place wholeheartedly and will stay if visiting Anguillara again.

Close to a supermarket and lots of excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. A short walk to the lake and beaches for swimming. The facilities in the apartment are excellent. Modern kitchen units, super bathroom and the most comfortable bed. Stephy is a wonderful host and was in regular contact to make sure our stay was totally trouble free.
