Amazing views and comfortable accommodation given the off grid status. We would have liked a larger couch and/or outdoor furniture as well as a smoother driveway to the place but understand these are being planned for the future. Will be back

The house was just right for my small family.
The house was just right for my small family. It has a beautiful view looking down to the city, clean and cozy. You will have to go through a rough road to get to the house( about 1km) but it's well worth it. I will stay here again if I have a chance to.

A great place to "escape" to- a wonderful location, great accommodation and all for an affordable price. The cabin had everything you needed to self cater or you're not too far from town. The owners are really easy to communicate with and overall it was a very enjoyable stay. You do need to be mindful of the steep, gravel driveway, especially if you have a very low to the ground car!! But otherwise an awesome place to base yourself for a visit to the Hobart area! Can't wait to get back there :)

We stayed over night at Mount Rumney with our four year old...
We stayed over night at Mount Rumney with our four year old and it was lovely and very family friendly. The place was clean and cosy, and had everything we needed. The beds were really comfortable and had extra warm blankets. We definitely recommend staying at Mount Rumney escapes.MegAustralia
