A small town we stayed overnight only. Had a beer at the local pub and dinner at the excellent Austin92 restaurant in the evening. Close to the larger centre Oamaru which we spent some time in. The quiet environment in our excellent accommodation made for a relaxing stay towards the end of a busy trip. We stayed in Temuka because the accommodation was cheaper than in Timaru or Geraldine. It is a central location, but there is not much to do while you are there. We walked the main street and found a small antique shop. There was a popular restaurant. We did not book early enough, so we had to travel to Timaru for dinner.

We were only staying the one night (Wednesday) on the way to Dunedin as we left Christchurch when husband got home from work. We looked in the shops before we left and bought meat at the butchers. We had several holidays in a cabin at the motor camp back in the 1960's.

Hall on the Terrace has amazing facility's , very friendly host , clean and tidy, great value for money. Allowed me to cook a curry. Great wifi and cellphone coverage. Fantastic breakfast included in the price. Spa baths and shower in each apartment. Great cooking facilities. Highly recommend.

It was getting late in the day so I back tracked up to Temuka to this exceptional property. Richard is a delightful host, the unit was impeccably clean, well equipped and of generous size.
