    Kings Canyon Rim Walk

Kings Canyon Rim Walk After a 6am breakfast, we headed off to the Kings Canyon Car Park, just 10mins drive, within the Wattarka National Park to do the 3-4Hr Rim Walk graded as Moderate to Difficult. The walk can’t be started after 9am as the temperature gets too high. We started at 6:30am. OMG, what an experience, starts with a very very steep 500 steps section until you reach the rim top. It’s exhilarating. We met a few couples from Uluṟu doing the walk and other groups, everyone is so friendly. The path is well sign posted with safety signs to keep hikers away from the rim edge. You walk along the rim edge then down to the sacred Garden of Eden waterhole, very peaceful. Finally we walked along the southern wall and down to the carpark. The entire walk was approx 3hrs. We also walked the short Creek path, but it was very dry. It was a great day and ended at the Kings Canyon Bar & Grill for a well deserved drink. #DiscoveryKingsCanyon

    Excellent place. Definitely underrated.

Excellent place. Definitely underrated. I wish it was more affordable, but once we got there we understood the exceptional work they do there given the resources they have. so, definitely worth it, outstanding walks, amazing views and unforgettable experience.

Stayed 2 nights but could have been one more to do more than just Kings Canyon as had only one full day there. The rim walk is hard to start with but worth the effort. Also I would recommend the 2 side detour walks. Stayed at Kings Creek Station that I would recommend and ate there too. Do not expect luxury in the Bush Tents - they were as advertised and good for a place to sleep and rest. The shared shower/toilet facilities for the bush tents experience are clean.

The Rim Walk was magnificient. It is a must do. We ate in at Kings Creek Station. Althouigh limited menu, it is sufficient for a few nights stay - and well worth trying ytheir camel burger. They also provide a hearty buffet breakfast.

Kings Canyon is one of Australia’s hidden gem and will highly recommend trekking to the wonderful rock formation. The walking track is easy to navigate with the help of the easy to find signs. Very grateful and proud that this natural wonder could be available for anyone to visit.

We really enjoyed this property. Walls and roof were a canvas tent, but on a wood platform floor. The room was spacious, comfy bed and a small fridge and coffee maker were supplied. Full and spacious bathroom attached. The back deck had a gorgeous view of the outback. Short drive over to the reception area for breakfast, as well as other meals if needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food delicious! Great location to drive out and experience Australia’s red center.

Comfortable adequate Bush Tent with welcome air-conditioning for outback cold night. Bed/bedding good. Short walk to shared bathroom facilities - excellent hot water. A very filling cooked breakfast included. Staff were all welcoming/helpful/obliging. We didn’t visit areas for caravans, camping but all appeared well patronised. Slightly “away from the maddening crowd” which we appreciated given how busy the nearby Kings Canyon Resort was. - and everywhere in Central Aust.

The location is very close to Kings Canyon. The stay offered breakfast and dinner! The dinner wasn't expected and it had quite a lot to choose from. The tent is located a bit outside of the reception area so it gives you a wild feeling at night. We heard a camel's sound which is quite cool. The room is quite nice and neat, though it's in the wild, you can feel that the owner really tries to maintain the best standard.

The station staff were friendly and helpful. The food at the Cafe was excellent and the highlight was their Camel Burger. Arguably the best Burger I've eaten. Our Bush Tent was basic (as we expected), clean and comfortable. Their recommendation that we do the local Karkke Cultural Tour absolutely lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend staying here as a more rustic alternative to the local resort.

Unexpected comfort in the middle of nowhere near King‘s Canyon NP. The cabin was very well appointed. Comfy bed and very modern bathroom, with good shower pressure. Parking right outside the cabin. Small terrace provided gorgeous view of the Milky Way at night. Nearby restaurant had good dinner options, with excellent beer-on-tap selection. Breakfast was decent. Nice lightshow at sunset. About 10 km to the NP.

This was a special treat for us. Two couples with a glamping cabin. They were super clean. Our package included dinner and breakfast which made life easier. We were in the outback. We saw camels 🐪 and heard the dingos at night. Close to Kings Canyon which was the reason for this stop. Yes would recommend.

We choose this "Glamping" experience because nothing at that time was available during our trip close to where we liked to go i.e. Kings Canyon. This Station is at a great location and deserves more modern facilities; certainly for elderly people it is below par.

We had rented a room / apartment for 3 which was surprisingly comfortable, e.g. a large bathroom and excellent shower. We also enjoyed the complementary breakfast served from 6am, right in time for making the Kings Canyon rim walk before it becomes too hot.
