Newly renovated and well outfitted. Make your own breakfast was provided which is a unique and valued touch with cereal, milk and toast with Jam etc. Really nice stay albeit a little pricey for the area it was worth while.

The view was spectacular, the spaciousness of the top floor and plenty of room but above all the view! Great facilities, pools and tennis courts and lock up garage.
Set in tropical surrounds, Santalina on Hervey Bay is located opposite Urangan Beach. Each apartment either overlooks the swimming pool and gardens or has ocean views.
Absolutely beautiful. Inland lakes for swimming and a visit to Eli creek and the Champagne pools a must. Drive to conditions and on correct tides. Suggest splitting time between stays in Eurong area and Orchid Beach area. Lake Wabby is a big walk in from lookout end over a large sand dune but water is cool and lake filled with cat fish. Floating down Eli creek is simply the best, not deep but naturally flowing.

The entire island is a 4x4 drive: off-roads and beach drive. Go prepared to get bogged down. Watch tide times. Research how to do a 4x4 drive on beach and dirt roads.

Apart from the disgraceful accommodation, luckily Fraser Island is a dream island to visit. We are Queenslanders and have visited Fraser Is 8 times now and will return, but NEVER to the Fraser Island retreat, they should be taken off your books !!!!

I have been to Fraser Island a few times and it never disappoints. So much to see and explore - just a beautiful spot. Eli Creek and Lake Mackenzie are awesome. I have to improve my fitness to do some of the longer walks, but I did manage to get to Sandy Cape and check out the WW2 Bunkers etc

Fraser Island is an extraordinarily beautiful natural wonderland. The beaches are incredible with the opportunity of many whale sightings during whale season. The walk along the creek through the rainforest at Central Station to Pile Valley is easy and relaxing. Lake McKenzie has the most beautiful white sands and clear water. Indian Head has views to die for. You need a 4WD to get around but there is so much to see and do and plenty of walks and attractions get out and make the most of this natural wonderland.

Driving your own or a hired 4WD is fun in itself both along the ocean and in the inland tracks. The lakes are stunning and you can even swim in winter (if the sun is out, of course). Talking about the lakes, beyond the well renowned Lake Mackenzie, I would recommend the 30-minute walk (from the ocean shore) to Lake Wabby, a treasure hidden in all those dunes... Fantastic experience!
Luckily on Fraser there is limited wifi, so my teenage girls managed to stay off their phones most of the time and enjoy Nature and the Moment.
Everything. It is super well located (perfect base for driving out to explore the lakes). It is super well kept by Kato - everything is perfectly clean and sorted, the rooms/tents are full of details like a 5 star hotel. Kato is an excellent host as well, gave us a complete tour of the place, tips to lakes to visit and shops nearby to find groceries.
I liked also the hard curfew at 9 when everything goes quiet and you can only hear the waves crashing and the wind.
The hotel was fine, the kitchen was sparsely stocked with the basics for cooking. The restaurant had pub food and was ok for a night out but I was glad we went the self catered option. Because it is an island everything is shipped in and expensive. Beds were fine but not particularly comfortable. 2br unit was good for a family of 4, with the trundle you can fit 5 into it
The house was perfect for our family stay in Fraser Island. We stayed in a 2-storey house very well equipped and very clean. The views from the balcony were stunning, and the kids really enjoyed the pool and spa in the complex. It is located next to the beach and a short walk from Eurong, where you can find a few shops. We definitely recommend it!!
Awesome location to explore Fraser Island. easy access from Rainbow Beach barge. Simple, functional room. Had everything you need to self cater breakfast and lunch as well as a great little bakery cafe and restaurant for dinner. Pool was perfect for when you can’t drive the beaches and the sunset on the beach here is magical.
The house was fully equipped for my needs. The full size fridge was useful, fully equipped kitchen, a spacious main bedroom, good water pressure in the shower, location to beach was great, easy to go for a walk, and access Eurong village. Dingo sticks were always available at the gate, which was essential.
The accommodation was very spaces but a few little issues ie broken screen, the resort was very nice and a great pool area and BBQ.
the staff were nice and very helpful
we loved the location to all the sights for Fraser island
would definitely stay here again
this is a great place for families
The Beach House was beyond our expectations.
All rooms are spacious with air conditioning, could not ask for more.
The house was clean and had everything supplied that was needed to have a wonderful holiday.
Great communication with the owner, made us feel very welcome.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Clean and comfortable room with big fridge and freezer. Was comfortable for the 3 of us and we had plenty of space. Extremely clean and friendly and helpful staff, on site restaurant was nice too. Great location and easy to access all the main places on Fraser Island.
Extremely friendly staff. Very comfortable accommodation. Very spacious house. The cooking stove and oven are a bit old and not too user-friendly. No AC in the house may be a bit hot during the height of summer with a few hot days. Each room had a ceiling fan.
Fantastic location on east side of Fraser Island by the beach. Very accessible with 4WD car. Perfect for exploring points of interest on the north east side of the island and for journeying to inland lakes. Friendly staff.
Nestled in K’gari’s beautiful rainforest, the Kingfisher Bay Resort was the perfect location from which to rent a 4WD and explore all that Fraser Island has to offer. the villas were large and comfortable.
I love Eurong for being the only resort on the surf side of the Island. The large pool is lovely at the end of the day and being able to hear the sounds of the ocean at night is so relaxing.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Fraser Island was stunning and we had a great time driving around the island and enjoying the lakes, creeks and natural wonders.
