This is 15 mins out of Port Douglas, has the most beautiful view out to the ocean from the bed and balcony, the local pizza and beer is amazing and Oak Beach is a gorgeous fascinating ever changing scene to walk at sunrise and sunset. Oaks Kitchen and Garden is nearby which is an awesome experience. We really love this place, easy, comfortable and a great location but you will need your own transport.TanyaAustralia

Everything about Thala was truly amazing and quite unique,from the quiet ambience and tranquility of the rainforest to the pristine sands of Oak Beach. A truly unforgettable experience, with genuine staff who cater for everything. We were welcomed by Richard on arrival who was friendly and eager to ensure our time at Seaviews was incredible. Thoughtful touches included fruit, chocolate and homebrew beer and the most amazing colourful fire which we enjoyed from the balcony on our final night. Oh and the pizza was a real treat after travelling. Piping hot and super fresh and flavoursome!

It's away from the main tourist areas of North Queensland, and suited our needs perfectly. Our hosts remained in the background and made sure we had all that we needed to make our stay enjoyable. They provided that little bit extra that was special to add to the atmosphere (the fire pit lit at night while we had dinner in our room).

The Sofa and the Bed are comfy, the view out of Balcony is Beautiful, the Location is good nearby Oak Beach, Pretty Beach, Port Douglas. The surrounding forest and Oak Beach area is beautiful and very relaxing. Head chef Richard, provided some outstanding meals but if you’re staying for more than a few days and didn’t eat meat the menu is limited.
