The location was convenient to the store’s & restaurants.
The location was convenient to the store’s & restaurants. The cleaning staff was poorly trained. They didn’t restock any items and my room & the floor was dirty in the bathroom and kitchen areas needed mopping. The floor left my feet black. I booked a room with a view of the lake and pool but when arriving I was given the lower level back parking lot view. I kept the room since it had a great kitchen area to cook. If I wasn’t planning to cook meals than I would have been more likely to have requested to change my room!

The campus was incredibly quiet the day after Thanksgiving, especially considering there was a noon football game the next day. The beautiful landscaping still had lots of fall color.
I recommend visiting the Botanical Gardens any time of year.

Clemson is a beautiful area. Short drive to Greenville.
Clemson is a beautiful area. Short drive to Greenville. We had a blast at Treetop Quest in Greenville (zipline / ropes adventure). And you have to go to The Oasis Ranch miniature golf course in Seneca. It's like a vacation destination itself!

Clemson is the epitome of southern hospitality!
Clemson is the epitome of southern hospitality! It’s a wonderful place to be, it’s common areas are beautiful, the people are extremely friendly and everywhere you go you are greeted with “good morning” or “have a great day” attitude. Clemson loves their sport teams, but, everyone loves football and the pride they all carry needs to be shared with the world. Go Tigers!!
I love Clemson and we will be back often.

The town was empty because the university was closed due to COVID-19. The people that were there were wearing masks and practicing social distancing. There was still a lot to do. My son and I shopped, swam in the lake, ate out, toured Memorial Stadium and the university. Hopefully in a few years, my son will be enrolled at Clemon University.
The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was close to Clemson University and had shops, gas and restaurants right around the corner. The building, room and linens were clean. The air conditioning worked very well and was not noisy. The water pressure and temp was just right. For our quick 2 night stay to visit people in the area, American Inn was comfy, convenient and reasonable.
Location was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking with easy access to hotel entrance.
Breakfast was adequate, a typical hotel "hot breakfast" with the usual powdered eggs, turkey and pork sausage, biscuits, fruit, yogurt, and bread. They had pastries but I didn't try them. Definitely better than nothing, and a decent number of tables.
location location location
text welcoming the day of arrival, easy check in, cool hotel room key, spacious room, staff very friendly and helpful, kept our backpack after checking out, no need to drive as everything was walkable distance
The location was perfect and very conveniently located in the main commercial district of Clemson and very close to the University. Great restaurants in the area as well as out dinner in the hotel.
Met with a welcome from the front desk staff. Explained the layout of the hotel and facilities available.
excellent breakfast, nice pool are and spacious, immaculate room.
My son lives in Clemson. We came down for my granddaughter’s baptism. The cottage was in a great location and perfect for my husband, me, and our two adult sons!
