We visit Manzanita every year and love it. easy and hassle free...
Some stores were closed - it was the middle of winter. But that's ok. The Manzanita Espresso spot is terrific and in the summer has great outdoor seating. Sand Dune bar is full of locals...

Manzanita is small, quaint, and much less crowded than the neighboring resort towns of Seaside and Canon Beach. Dining options were excellent and affordable. Yolk is a great place for breakfast but it does get busy. The beach is massive and excellent for wind sports and walking. Hiking in the two state parks on either side of town are scenic and well maintained. Parking anywhere in the center of town was easy.

We booked an oceanview room on the upper floor with full kitchen for a two night stay in mid week. We were initially given a corner room on the 2nd level without a view. When we advised the check-in clerk that our reservation was for an oceanview room she told us the only room available for us was on the first floor level. During our stay, no other guests were checked into the numerous 2nd floor level rooms that remained vacant. Our room also did not have a full kitchen as we expected. We were celebrating our anniversary, so this treatment was especially disappointing. The upside was that because of the vacancy rate, we could leave our curtains open to the first floor view, as their was very little foot traffic near us. Probably won't be going back to this site again.

Manzanita is about a 15 minute drive south of Cannon Beach.
Manzanita is about a 15 minute drive south of Cannon Beach. If you go to Manzanita, you must visit Cannon Beach as well. Cannon Beach has an amazing beach with Haystack Rock, and lots of restaurants and shops. Manzanita only has a few. The reason people go to Manzanita instead of Cannon Beach is because it is way less crowded, especially on the weekends and holidays. If you are ok with only a few restaurant options, Manzanita is very beautiful with a very long uncrowded beach. Be aware when traveling to the Oregon Coast, the water is very cold and rough. It is not a place for swimming or sunbathing. It is wild and rugged. It is great for beach combing, tide pools, walks and hikes, and photography and exploration.

Area was quite and a good place to get away.
Area was quite and a good place to get away. Was hard to find any place to eat breakfast. We had to go to the next town. Some places were only open for limited hours or take out for lunch and dinner. It was frustrating because we would check websites and facebook pages. People would say they were open and then when we would get there they wouldnt be.
This however was not just Manzanita, it was all the towns up and down the coast. Just be prepared to be flexible.

Manzanita is a tiny little town.
Manzanita is a tiny little town. We found a darling market and bought food there. We loved the coffee shop as well. Charming town but we visited Cannon Beach and decided that would be our preference in the future. More restaurants, shops, and very cute town!
Quaint older home VERY close to the beach. Liked that I could walk over to see the sunset or walk on the beach in the early morning. Loved the little town. If you like character old homes, this one's for you. Lots of towels and kitchen is well-supplied. Lots of room so we all fit in OK. Note: you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to one of the bedrooms, so the "4th" bedroom can really only be used for the children of whoever is staying in that bedroom.
Very nice, clean spot in a quiet neighborhood right next to downtown Manzanita. You can see tons of evergreen trees from the windows of the house making it feel like you're in a forest. I wasn't able to find my check-in instructions but they had a phone number to call and the person who answered was extremely kind and helpful. The heat works well and the fireplace was a lovely addition.
Good house suitable for our extended stay. Great location one block walk to beach and adjacent to the stat park trails. The office was responsive to a call about 2 minor problems.the kitchen is well equipped with everything needed for cooking and baking. Manzanita is great.
This was a nicely updated motel with wood floor and modern decor. Small fridge was great for leftovers and drinks. There was room to set up dog bed. Restaurants in Manzanita are wonderful and walking distance to beach and shops.
Cute and comfortable house. It's an easy walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Manzanita is definitely the best choice along that stretch of the Oregon coast.
We love going to Manzanita, it’s so peaceful and quiet for the most part. We have been coming here for 15 yrs now. I’d say it’s our favorite.
Thanks again 👍🔥😁
