The whole city was clean and organised.
Very few old vacant plots throughout making it a city of quality.
The "old town' with its shops and good quality food outlets, history information , river frontage and walks were an unexpected series of highlights for our restful day.

I loved how friendly the drivers are, all the food truck pods, and fun outdoor spaces. So many gorgeous trails to explore and the shopping at the Mill District. So fun to see an operational Blockbuster store and a Barnes and Noble store.
Beautiful river front and public parks.

So much to do in and around Bend.
So much to do in and around Bend. If you are nature lover, you can easily spend 3-4 days here or even more.
The area is rapidly expanding... expect traffic and impatient / borderline rude drivers!
We liked and enjoyed areas around Bend more than Bend itself.

I was a participant in the Arts Festival so my experience was skewed.
Bend is a lovely, overcrowded town. It has some wonderful neighborhoods, mostly the older ones are best. Bend is very expensive. Lodging was the highest of any city I've worked in. We had a hard time finding seating in downtown restaurants and the prices were higher than other comparable cities. Drivers near where I was for the festival were impatient and aggressive.
Bend is nice, but it suffers from the success of aggressive advertising that has worked, perhaps, too well.

Bend is amazing.
Bend is amazing. There are so many activities for couples, families, solo travelers. Hiking, paddling, biking, shopping, skiing. It's a year round destination. I love Bend. The coffee and beer options are endless, and if you are a foodie, it is a great place to visit. We went to Yoli on this trip, a small Korean cuisine restaurant - the food was delicious! From high end, to dumplings, to gelato...you will find what you are looking for. Although my son and I were not into the nightlife scene, I am sure for the youthful traveler or those looking for a good time in the evening Bend would also not disappoint. Enjoy!

Bend is a great city for many reasons.
Bend is a great city for many reasons. Super easy to navigate, car wise. Great outdoor opportunities, wonderful food, craft beer and winery scene. Awesome concerts, the main reason we visit!! Bend is a very scenic, high desert, sunny town, with a mix of urban chic and rural beauty. Something for everyone here. People are friendly and seem happy.
Nice pool and hot tub though I didn't get round to using them - but I dipped my fingers in and the temperatures were nice.
Good size room, bathrooms were presentable though loo seat had bit marks. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast on day 1 with bacon was good but no bacon second day.
Having discoverd that all the restaurants near the hotel stopped serving at 8pm (wierd or what?) we had supper at the fast food Teryaki restaurant close to the hotel which was excellent though very cafe style.
This place is hard to beat. Not only are the suites beautiful, spacious and have everything you need, but it’s also in the perfect location. Beach bikes are free and available to use to access the best of downtown Bend within in a mile. The location of this property is ideal and we spent a lot of time exploring the cafés, restaurants and shops. The ladies at the reception are sweet and generous with their suggestions. I can’t wait to stay there again.
For the value of the room compared to other hotels in Bend, it was a good deal. Although the room was clean, it was not remodeled as the information in the motel details had said. The room was old, but clean. Bathroom clean, coffee worked, mini fridge worked. Breakfast was pretty good. Pool was great besides no towels provided. Room was quiet which was fantastic. Close to Winco and lots of restaurants. Across the street from Dutch Bros.
We loved the vibe and design of the hotel. Location was a great starting point for day trips in the area. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. What was especially cool was that the heated pool, hot tub, and fire pit (which were all great) were fun places to meet new people and other travelers just for a short chat and sharing stories
It was a fine stay, in that it was near where we wanted to be and the most economical of what was available (very short notice booking). Totally out of the control of the hotel, but our neighbours were very (very) noisy for much of the night (!) so we realised the rooms had very thin walls - a bit uncomfortable when travelling with two teenagers.
Excellent location close to the river. Old Mill area is just across a footbridge containing restaurants, shops and cinema.
Hotel is very modern with spacious rooms, very comfortable beds and great walk in shower. Lovely swimming pool and hot spa. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Comfortable bed, great location, kind and friendly staff. The pool and hot tub area was clean. They let us check in early which was very accommodating and lovely. The price was great, as a big event was in town for the weekend. And best of all- they are pet friendly with a pet area!
The location was great. The room was clean and fairly well set up. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve experienced. The front desk staff and the breakfast staff were both outstanding. The breakfast area and lobby were immaculate, clean and cheerful.
excellent breakfast, very new and attractive facility, good microwavable meals. very quiet room, comfortable bed, pets being allowed very attractive without hassles, space around hotel convenient for exercising pets
The bed was comfy and the breakfast was very good. The lobby was decorated nicely for Christmas! The hotel is nicely situated in Bend and you can walk to many restaurants, coffee shops and stores
Not a damn thing the owner is a complete jerk as well as condescending! There are much better hotels in bend around the same price do nut trust a booking on this hotel you will be disappointed.
Staff were friendly. Beer on tap at the desk was great. Fireplace and firepits were nice. It was a good value for what other hotels in Bend were charging when we booked.
