Typical motel with some pluses. We were traveling through the area and had been on the road for a while. There was a nice big parking lot and a washer and dryer on site so we were able to get some laundry done. The staff were so nice - especially the woman at the front desk. They also provided a big, hot breakfast.

Great little town but like many towns in the US it is dead commercially.
However there is a very interesting Civil War Museum run by an individual who is a memorabilia collector. He has created a very interesting little museum packed with all sorts of weapons, equipment, clothing and documents from the Civil War era.
There are all sorts of retail outlets and eateries outside the town, but i am always dismayed that there isn't a civic support for bringing businesses back into the centre of small towns and cities.
Its the same in Lafayette LA, Chanpagne-Urbana IL and Clarksdale TS.
The town centres are dead.

The historic area we were in was extremely impoverished.
The historic area we were in was extremely impoverished. The area was filled with abandoned and run down buildings. The downtown area wasn’t bad, but everything else surrounding it was beyond terrible. We found an amazing restaurant downtown. 10 South Rooftop-it was the only highlight of our trip there.

The city is old and run down.
The city is old and run down. There are several empty parking decks. There are a few decent restaurants & boutiques downtown. The military park is beautiful. I would suggest a short stay or day trip.

It would have been fine but management at motel 6 accuse me of suspicious activity and told me that I had to leave the property without any evidence that I was doing anything illegal which I wasn't and I need to go the right way about a lawsuit
Beautiful views of the Mississippi from the room balcony. Surely the best views of any hotel in Vicksburg.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were renovated at some point recently, not the best job, but quite acceptable. Comfortable and clean, with lots of space.
The casino was moderate sized, but the dealers at the tables were fun and friendly. Made playing 21 or poker much more fun because of their personalities.
Our stay in the Bazsinsky House was a highlight on our road trip though the United States.
An awesome jewel!!!
Such a beautiful home, lot of history, so confortable, safe and clean-everything just perfect !!!!
Andrew is an amazing host and his breakfasts so delightful .
Anyone who is visiting Vicksburg, MI, has to stay in the Bazsinsky House!!!
Thank you Andrew!!!
Such a friendly and welcoming family run group of bed and breakfast properties which includes Duff Green Mansion. We we had such a nice and relaxing time we decided to stay an extra night. The attitude of the owners who allow people to explore the property and enjoy it was so refreshing. The family style breakfast and house tour were a bonus.
Location was great for walking into Vicksburg: just a few minutes.
Breakfast was at the main hotel just one block away which is actually a 19th century mansion offering silver service and guided tours. The staff and service were 1st class.
Halpino is 6 rooms in a separate building and it is lovely. Highly recommended.
I had pre-booked the room and saw the hotel was "Pet Friendly". I saw NO reference to hidden charges. However, when I arrived the clerk stated that $75 (non-refundable) would be charged for my three small dogs. I protested and spoke with the manager. They would not forgive this hidden charge. I then left the hotel.
We had an excellent experience with our stay from the beginning to the end. Our host was exceptional. He was always available, and ready to meet any need. He was very knowledgeable about the house and the the town of Vicksburg, as he shared with us. We plan to stay here again. The breakfast was awesome!
enormous room with separate seating area/sofa. nice breakfast. by far the best thing about the hotel we’re the staff, especially Beverly on reception. amazingly friendly and so helpful with information and showing genuine interest. Harvey also brilliant resolving problem with laundry.
The location and breakfast were good, but last time I was there I saw a sign saying renovations but the rooms were still in bad shape and the casino has so many slot machines still not in working order. Nothing has been done to update the hotel or the casino. I will not stay again.
Anchuca was a wonderful stop over on our way to New Orleans. The pool and gardens were absolutely fabulous. The food was the best we had had in our 3 week holiday. The house is stunning, and the video at breakfast was really informative. We would definitely stay again.
Charming stay in period house not far from central Vicksburg.
We received a room upgrade to a bigger, nicer room which was great. Bed was very comfortable and had all we needed there.
Free onsite parking and swimming pool (although we didn’t use it)
Good breakfast area, pretty nice pool. Breakfast personal was very sweet. When closing she told us to get more if we wanted before she closed. All other hotels so far just shut down without saying anything. An extra star for that!
I loved the rustic feel of the family suite we stayed in on the 3rd floor. Very roomy and comfortable! Nice and quiet because it’s the only room on the 3rd floor! If we visit Vicksburg again we will definitely be staying again!
The staff were extremely helpful as we asked for a recommendation for dinner which turned out to be amazing. Also we were so close to the battle of Vicksburg State Park.
