Eagle is a bedroom community for folks who work in Vail.

Eagle is a bedroom community for folks who work in Vail. The town has made a conscious effort to limit tourist activity. Short term rentals are prohibited. There is no overnight camping (tent, van or RV). You must go outside town into the National Forest to camp. Eagle does not want tourists or travelers to do any more than buy some gas before moving on. The only place open for breakfast before 0700 is Wendy's and you have to be brave to eat there.

An error was made with the billing, in which a staff member accidentally refunded my payment back to Booking.com and then the owner tried to make me pay again. The owner also tried to charge me a $250 deposit, even though it was advertised on Booking.com that the refundable deposit was only $100. I had to call Booking.com to resolve the matter, in which they informed the owner that he could not double charge me and he would need to wait for Booking.com to credit the refund back to him. The owner was also informed that he could only charge me $100 refundable deposit as advertised.

The staff were very helpful and friendly!

The staff were very helpful and friendly! Guests were nice and friendly and their pets were also. It was great to have our dog with us and was a very good experience overall. The outside area needs some work (picnic table repair, etc) but did not need the outside facilities for our length of stay. Great place and beautiful view. You can see the Eagle river and you can take your dog down by the river in Eagle by the Eagle historical museum across the highway from the Eagle Lodge.

If you are into hiking in the mountains check out Sylvan...

If you are into hiking in the mountains check out Sylvan Lake state park , bring orange vest and hat incase you are there during hunting season . Also a good pair of hiking boots along with an Atlas or detailed Colorado map, we lost internet several times and would have been lost with out it . I would suggest checking out the Quality inn and suits for the most comfortable stay . If you are heading from Colorado Springs on 24 to 82 through the mountains , check the time of year because they close it off during winter months due to it being treacherous for driving . If you can go though it was awesome , beautiful and full of wild life . However if you have no experience with driving in the snow I would suggest staying out of there .

    It was a filthy hotel..

It was a filthy hotel..Front desk guy was a non-caring person. They offered washing services but wouldn't sell us any quarters to use it.We were so happy to get back on the road the next morning and get out of this hotel. We didn't want to chance eating their breakfast even if it was free.

I love the town of Eagle.

I love the town of Eagle. It is a small town with a small town feel. The people are friendly, and Main Street a.k.a. Broadway, is a cool place to stroll after dinner. I wish more shops would move in there but the shops they have and restaurants are great It is a mountain sports town both summer and winter, which I am not that type of person but there are lots of biking and hiking trails around and great fishing We really really really like brush Creek saloon. It is an old Timey saloon feel but they have a wonderful kitchen. No matter what you ordered the food is always wonderful and they have the best green chili in the town. Not even the Mexican restaurants around have that good of chili. I love the coffee shop on Broadway I think it’s called yetis and there is room at Mountain Café I believe that’s the name on the east side of Broadway the first block and it’s really great for sandwiches and they have a ton of choices

I was very happy with my stay at Eagle's Landing. It is spacious and comfortable, and it has everything I needed. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Because of a low car battery, I was afraid to lock my car (which has no key, just electronic entry) at night, but I wasn't worried about leaving it unlocked. It is minutes from town but secluded. I will stay there again.

It was a perfect stay! The hotel is simple but very clean, and comfy for a several-day stay. Perfect location close to Eagle airport and a short drive to all the ski resorts. The grocery store and restaurants are literally next door. The personnel at the hotel was the most accommodating. We had a wonderful stay and will consider coming back again!

Front desk staff not friendly or helpful. Room had a bad odor, common areas were not maintained. Price gouging because of Fire evacuation? $200/night for smelly, poorly maintained hotel? TV did not work, called front desk to report, was told someone would come up to fix but never saw anyone.

Very good place to stay if you plan to ski at Vail. Its much cheaper than any hotel closer to Vail. It takes approx 25 minutes drive from Eagle to Vail parking place. Room was ok with all necessary amenities. Pool is great with very hot water - its good to spend there a time after skiing.

Because of COVID, there was no breakfast in the hotel. The hotel provided us with to-go bags for breakfast. The food was not very good, most of it was very sweet, not healthy.

Matthew the manager was great. This hotel was taken over earlier in the year so it needs a massive overhaul and I don't envy his job but he's doing his best.

I stayed here to hit Vail and Beaver Creek. There is an hourly Eagle County commuter bus about 10 minutes away. There is a common heated pool and tub.
