Needles has the appearance of a semi ghost town as if the economy has dropped out. Of course I was there on a Sunday of a holiday weekend (Presidents day) .
There is one gem of a restaurant I highly recommend for the food, although the ambiance is nothing special,
The Flavor of India.

The museum was closed, and there was a dissapointing lack of shops in the downtown area. I had hoped for a fun half-day soaking in the route 66 nostalgia but there was none, other than a few murals here and there.

Needles is small with many boarded up businesses, dry and dusty, actually rather depressing. Staying in Needles, though, is advantageous for the route we have to take between homes. This is the best of the several hotels we have tried over the years. We ate at the Wagon Wheel, an historic restaurant with excellent servers and good food. It is near the Rio Del Sol hotel.

Pleasant and comfortable.
Pleasant and comfortable. Had everything you need and very clean. Fridge size enough for a decent long stay and the only negative was the train tracks nearby. Just turn your rain sounds up and it’s all good. We just stopped at BW and went to sleep and hit the road again so….

The beds were filthy with stains and hair on the pillows.
The beds were filthy with stains and hair on the pillows. The internet did not work and even the clerk suggested to stay upstairs because the bottom floors were not as clean. We have trouble with stairs but took his suggestion and if the top floor rooms were “clean” the bottom must have been condemning.
The staff responded instantly to questions and requests. Everything worked, This is an older building nicely kept up, The bed was comfortable with four nice fluffy pillows. There are nice water saving fixtures that really work. The air conditioning kept the room cool (pretty big job in Needles). The refrigerator didn't freeze my groceries, and was unusually quiet The advertised "soundproof walls" nearly are - the only noises I heard came through the window and door in the front. I like simple comfort and privacy
Staff person (young man) that checked us in at 10:30pm was very nice and helpful. Compared to camping in 108 degree weather, this was great. Compared to most every other hotel we’ve stayed in, it was very old, tired and run down. The AC worked well enough though was a little loud. We paid $89 including taxes which was just about $10 more than the campground we were supposed to stay at.
I love to stay at motel6 because. Th I travel with my girls all the time.. my girl Eve& Delilah who are my high maintenance house dogs and btw they are not at all small Eve is an 8 yr old boxer mix and Delilah is a 1 yr old brindle pit at motel 6 there is never an extra charge and my dogs and can relax not having to worry about what the manager is gonna complain about or kick us out
The breakfast was great! I paid for one night. I thought it was for two nights. I received a call my things were moved to another room. My things were packed nicely and moved with no problem. The management was great! I really appreciate the convenience of management helping me out during my stay. I will continue to book my stay here at Best Western 🙂
It's an old motel, but well kept and surprisingly clean. Owner was very helpful and recommended nearby restaurants and where to get cheaper gas in Arizona. The parking lot was well-lit and felt safe. There weren't a lot of TV channels, but that is certainly understandable in such a remote area, so be prepared for that if you watch a lot of TV.
nothing
this motel was filthy no refrig microwave real bad linens and bedding just over all nasty. This rude place gives motel 6 a real bad name
we were put in a dirty section with construction workers and local who lived at this motel
everything , spotless rooms , accommodating staff, comfortable beds , great coffee, friendly quiet and welcoming , even get discount of food from restaurant near by with room key . would recommend 100% . great value too
Amazing stay. I have no complaints. It was a little pricey when compared to other places in Needles. But we'd been traveling all day and needed to be comfortable. So I booked based on reviews and was not disappointed!
Nice view of the surrounding hills, Needles is a mid-century route 66 cultural artifact which is interesting, the room was spacious. Good selection of premium TV channels.
Everything worked and bed was very comfortable. The owner was very friendly and kind. What more can you ask of a motel in Needles? I would definitely stay again.
