Mirtos is a small, very friendly village. Great tavernas and bars. Several local shops for necessities. Lovely beach but sea can be a bit rough at times. A trip up to the villages in the mountains is a must. Have travelled around crete for 30 years but the past 7, been coming here. Mirtos has stolen our hearts !!

I liked everything and I wish I could stay more. Myrtos is a small town in South Crete. It is a charming place with good, helpful and generous people. The food is delicious, the sun shines and the sky is blue.

An excellent little village which combines sea and mountain activities. Relaxing place with a huge beach with trees. But please discover Myrtos on foot! So many paths start in this village, some of them are easy, around nearby hills; some you need to carry extra water to visit Mithi village or Sarakinas gorge. There is the Minoan settlement of Pyrgos and much more. We will surely come back to the beautiful village of Myrtos full of magnolia trees.

I liked Mirtos when it wasn't so full.
I liked Mirtos when it wasn't so full.
I also liked the fact that they try to discourage card entering the village so it's safer for padestrians.
Unfortunately, it has become very popular and it's too small to accommodate the amount of visitors that it gets.

Mirtos is a small village, that we feel, is unspoiled by tourism. There are several tavernas, all serving delicious food. A few small bars have greek music nights. If you are looking for night clubs or kareoke nights, this is not the village for you. But, it is our favourite !!!

A charming & pretty small coastal town with plenty of good tavernes and a pleasant beach, but in a normal year with full occupancy would be very overcrowded.
La Sera is a good taverna with exceptional house wine. O Platanos was sadly full. Everything easy walking distance but streets too narrow to want to drive in.
A good base to explore from.
It was such a treat to wake up to the spectacular view every morning! The property is on top of a hill so the views are incredible if you are lucky enough to stay in one of the Bay View villas (were were in #3). This was a great space for our family of 3 and the town of Myrtos is fantastic - friendly with a choice of great restaurants and a lovely beach.
You will need good shoes to get up and down the track into town which is steep and rocky but you can also take the road which is twice the distance.
The hotel is magnificent!!! More than expected!!! Wonderful establishment, clean rooms, comfortable beds, pleasant air-conditioning, amazing garden view!!! I am out of words for this stay!!! Above all I would like to thank our most polite young hostess for her willingness to be helpful!!! Thank you very much for these two lovely days and I promise I will come back one day. And I would mostly recommend it to all my friends and colleagues!!! Thank you Myrthe!!!!
The hotel is outside the main tourist centre (Myrtos) (less than 2 km), so it is not for travellers without a car. Having said that, the hotel is a gem. Surrounded by dense greenery it creates a feeling of being in a small paradise. I spent just a night there, but thoroughly enjoyed the spacious balcony. The room was huge and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately didn't have the time to use the pool which seemed attractive and large enough.
It was our second time staying here, and hopefully not the last. It's located just a few steps from the beach, all stores, restaurants and the pharmacy are also right next to the hotel. The hosts are very friendly and always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout your stay. Our room had everything we needed, with exceptionally comfortable beds. And the breakfast is amazing! :)
The village and the sea were amazing. The village is too small and there are groceries of you want to cook. But the kitchen stuff might not be enough for all types of cooking. The location of the hotel was amazing too. It was just by the beach. The room was in good size and there were essential kitchen stuff provided. There was hot water all day.
The owners of the Hotel is a family. A super feiendly and kind family.! The atmosphere was very very familiar and warm! We had fresh and delicious breakfast every morning! The room was so comfirtable, clear, and nice! We are sure that we will go back to the Hotel Myrtos! Kaliméra! :)
I like everything about this place. The early 80s architecture and interiors are cinematic and remind me of old motels in Los Angeles. The view of the mountains is beautiful. The price is incredible, the hotel is clean, and the staff so helpful and friendly. A true gem in Mirtos!
The hotel is right in the middle of Myrtos with everything a very short walk away.
Its a basic hotel with good value including an excellent and full breakfast.
The family were friendly and helpful.
The room was very comfortable and provide all we needed
After several times of staying in apartments in Myrtos, we stayed in Hotel Myrtos and had very pleasant experience. All praise for the hospitality.
Thanks a lot to you Jana and your lovely family!
The hotel is very nice and cozy, and the host was very kind. Beautiful view of the see and perfect location to go to the beach or to explore the wonderful town of Myrtos.
This is a cute hotel just a short walk from the beach and restaurants. It has a nice pool, comfy beds, great shower and we especially liked our balcony.
