Small historic village half way between Mesa Mani capital, Areopolis, and the southern tip of Tainaron.
Lots of characteristic tower houses - some restored and some waiting for the process to happen. This part of Mani is so beautiful, the restorers are never fair away.
The village has the back drop of the Mani central mountain range, with the rugged coast to the front. Koita is a mile or so inland, but the sea is easily accessed.

That forgiven, Koita is an amazingly beautiful place - and hosts the first class luxury hotel Citta dei Nicliani.
