Batsi is a very pretty town with a clean, beautiful beach.
Batsi is a very pretty town with a clean, beautiful beach. We visited in early - mid October and it was pleasantly quiet however, this also means half the restaurants and shops are closed. For this time of year it seemed to be the best town on the island in terms of facilities

Batsi is a delightful small village with its own sheltered harbour. It is quiet through the day, most activity related to the beach. The village comes alive in the evening around the harbour, where there is a host of tavernas and restaurants spilling out onto the street and harbourside.
Batsi is a great base for walking with many well marked and maintained paths.
Public transport isn't great, so if you want to venture further afield, a form of transport is pretty much a necessity. Batsi is about 5 miles from Gavriou where the ferry docks, a taxi from there into Batsi is 15euro (sep 23 prices).

Batsi is a very nice destination for couples and families.
Batsi is a very nice destination for couples and families. There are a lot of beaches, restaurants, and bars for every taste. It's everything very close that you don't even need a car. And if you want to visit another village or a further beach, there are options as taxi or buses. There are not a lot of activities during the day except the beach, but in the evening and nights is the only go to destination for the island.

Batsi is a beautiful village with a nice harbour, lots of tavernas, bars and shops and a great beach. It has everything we were looking for. I would recommend it to anyone who loves Greece, but also likes a choice of different cuisines too.

Extended my stay twice, was planning on bouncing around to other islands but decided Andros was where I wanted to be. Not swamped by tourists, all beaches felt almost private, priced well, easy to walk around. Scooter and car rentals both available, if you want to go around the island i recommend renting because public transport is mainly for ferry service, limited.

Batsi it's the perfect point where to stay in Andros if you have a car and want to visit all the Island. Andros is big and Batsi it's in the middle of the island to cover every distance.
I find also that the Port here is really nice and you can find really everything: bars, modern or typical Greek restaurant, shops and a really nice walk on the see.
Andros is not the typical cycladic island and i don't write that in a bad way. This island has a strong identity. We liked it a lot. After many years around Greece I can say that Andros is worthy at least one week of stay.
There is a lot of to visit, also in Chora (wonderful), with amazing panoramas and museums.
If you are asking to yourself "why Batsi and not Chora" the answer is only inside of you! We loved both.
Chora is more distant, if you have children maybe you wont to travel less with the car to reach the beaches, that's the big difference for me.
Now let me suggest our favorite restaurant in Batsi: Mise Me Li, hided in a small alley but it's worthy to find it. Yes, it's not with see view, but you spend all day to the beach and believe me this is a place where you want to eat. Tradition meet the fantasy of young owners that want to make the difference and they do it. Absolutely to try.
Another couple of really good restaurants: Cavo D'oro and Kantouni.
Hotel/Studio or whatever you prefer: Batsi is vibrant, if you prefer the quiet choose a place south of Batsi, on the way out after loukouBomb (great loukoumades) or in the back of the town.
Restaurants and bar in the evening can be a bit noise till late, but nothing to be too much concerned about.
About the car, if you plan holidays here book in advance your car because on Andros there are only 3 or 4 car rentals and they are always fully booked almost.
Have nice holidays!
The location is perfect for exploring Andros. The apartment is spotless, comfortable, well appointed and has everything you need to cook a meal, wash clothes, relax after a day of exploring, swimming or hiking and watching the boats from the balcony overlooking the bay. It is convenient to restaurants, grocery stores and a fantastic bakery just downstairs. Mike is an incredible host, responsive, friendly and helpful with renting a car. We look forward to renting from him again on our next trip to Andros.
A good, value-for-money choice compared to other places in Andros. Located 2-3 minutes from the shops and the main beach in Batsi. There is also a small, secluded beach called Stivari right next to the hotel with crystal-clear (but very cold) water and pebbles. The owner and staff are also helpful, and the room was very clean. It has a nice view and is very quiet, even though it is located near the town center.
Everything was amazing! Lovely house with a breathtaking view over the Agean Sea. Beautiful interior with nice traditional cycladic details. Very clean and a fully equipped kitchen. Lots of privacy in and around the house, and a short walking distance (through a very steep street) to two lovely beaches and one taverna. Hosts were welcoming and accomodating! A true Andros treasure, highly recommended!
The location is great and the view’s spectacular! Also the beach of the hotel is amazing, Sandy and very clean! The stuff is extremely friendly and also guided us on how to do paddle board-for free too-! The breakfast was great, lovely selection and they were making us iced coffee too. The shampoos and conditioners they provided were very good quality.
A lovely place to stay by the beach! We appreciated being steps away from the shore, perfect for lazy days under the sun. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, making our stay very comfortable. Batsi's charm, with its quaint streets and scenic views, added a nice touch to our trip. A cozy spot for a relaxing getaway.
Perfect place for a summer stay in Andros. We loved the studio and the hosts. Location is central and close to everything in the island, and the view from the balcony is great (especially for breakfast when the sun is still behind us). Would definitely come back and wouldn’t hesitate to reccomend this place. Thank you!
Perfect location at Batsi, at the end of all resto-bar- coffee places
The rooms were very clean, everything smelled amazing, hotel, rooms even the towels
The hosts Mr. Nikos and Mrs Crysanthi were excellent, very friendly and professional in every way.
They also offer beach towels to take with you at the beach
The villa is located in an ideal part of the island close to other restaurants too. The breakfast was phenomenal loved every part of it (various greek dishes). The owner and staff of the villa were very hospitable and accommodating, we felt very much at home. I would stay here again when I go back to Andros :)
Amazing apartment for Andros summer break. The view is incredible and the hospitality from hosts makes you feel at home. Everything was perfect and we felt we could focus just on relaxing, everything was taken care of. Location is right in the middle of Batsi nightlife. The balcony is super.
Cozy and clean family run rooms to let in a quiet yet privileged corner of the vibrant village of Batsi, 5 minutes walking distance from the beach, bars and restaurants.
The owners are lovely and eager to provide any help needed and suggestions for your visit.
Would definitely recommend!
Mrs Geogina and her son Alexandros are very kind. The room is 5 minutes walk (with many stairs) to the port of Batsi. So you can reach restaurant and bakery without take the car. Fantastic view on the Aegean see from the room. Ideal for family with children.
Thumbs up.
The owner is really nice and the rooms are modern and clean. The staff is super nice and helpful. The location is great and the view from the apartment as well - the beach and Batsi are in walking distance.
The location was brilliant- the reception staff were so friendly and welcoming. Such a chilled out vibe to the hotel. Breakfast was great . There was nothing to complain about - we will definitely be back
Everything was wonderful. From transportation from the port, to check in, and every single interaction with Anna. She helped find great restaurants and things to do on Andros. We did not want to leave.
The room was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. Nestled near lively Batsi yet offering serene tranquility, Anemos Sea View provided the perfect balance for my stay and the beauty of the sea!
The location was excellent, very close to the Mbatsi vibrant resturants and beach, and Ms Beba was very accommodating to all of our needs including baby gear, extra cleaning and many more!
The room, view and overall setting of the hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Maria and her staff took excellent care of us and even helped us with our laundry needs.
new, clean, amazing sea view, cool atmosphere and good vibes, relaxing, very good breakfast, professional and courtesy staff. definitely the best value for money in Andros
