Pembroke was the place to go for our childhood camping trips and having family in the area. My return as an adult on my own was wonderful, love the history and the plaques on the wharf front, the 100 yr old logs washed up on the shore now drift wood, the surrounding scenic view was outstanding, lots if various choices for dining out, I don’t have nothing negative to say about Pembroke, I can only say I can’t wait to return to soak up the scenic view of the Ottawa Valley.

Beautiful little town, My second visit after the first just following the 1st wave of Covid 2 years ago. Nice people, gorgeous area.
Too much pollution at the dike and lighthouse. Don't allow people to eat or drink in this area and bringing food with them. The end of the dike was disgusting. Educate people for recycling and add more cycling bins. Thank you!

A town to check out, just to get an idea of how people live...
A town to check out, just to get an idea of how people live outside of the large cities. Free downtown parking is great, a welcoming thing to do by the town managers. Centre town investments are needed to revitalize what was surely once an attractive centre town.

Beautiful waterfront with the Waterfront and Riverside Parks. Good for walking, biking and to have a picnic.
Should also take a look at the small library on Albert Street. Wondrefully designed building.

Pembroke has an amazing waterfront park, boardwalk, and bike path with a marina and boat launch. The town is sprinkled with murals everywhere which depicts their incredible history. Local restaurants such as the Courtyard and Kerry's both have amazing food with vegetarian and vegan options. There is a large campground on the waterfront. Picking blueberries is a must add to your list of things to do. We cycled all through town and along the waterfront bike path. We kayaked in Petawawa but you can kayak in Pembroke as well. The residents are very friendly and helpful. We visited during COVID and felt very safe with all the protocols in place. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets from the waterfront park. Many benches and places to sit and enjoy the waterfront.

We took time to visit Champlain Trail Muséum was excellent for history of the area and pioneer life. Pembroke is a vibrant and scenic little town along the Ottawa River and there is ample shopping and dining choices.
Very historic but updated Inn. Not to be confused with the Grey Gables in the United States or elsewhere, this Grey Gables in the quaint little town of Pembroke Ontario CANADA 🇨🇦. Is an exquisite find. Lynn at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful upon check in.
The Oak Door restaurant located within the Inn was elegant the food was above par and Kevin and Jess the wait staff, were wonderful polite friendly .
I stayed a night at this hotel after staying 3 nights at a MUCH more expensive hotel in Ottawa, and the Holiday Inn was much nicer. It was very clean, the best was very comfortable, staff was kind, there is on site parking, everything is easy to find and use. The entire room including the bathroom was very spacious, and neat. I would stay at this hotel again.
Location of the hotel is very central to restaurants and town attractions.
Room was very clean, staff were pleasant and helpful, bed was comfortable.
Bagged breakfast that included a sandwich to warm up in the microwave was more than expected for the times.
Parking is very safe (we left our bikes locked on rack overnight) and convenient.
I only stayed the one night, but the person who greeted me was very courteous, and answered all my questions, including where I vould find restaurants, and gas The room was VERY clean, the bed was incredible, best nights sleep I've EVER had at a hotel/motel
the location was pretty nice and not very far from downtown pembroke and a few minutes away from walmart if you forgot anything like we did lol. the front desk staff was very polite and kind to us, he was super helpful and knowledgeable!
Great location! It is good for doing everything although it is not in downtown. It is really quiet. I like the picnic tables outside the hotel. It is very comfortable to enjoy the evening there. The restaurant is pretty good.
