The location of the hotel is great - the town is really lovely, with great restaurants and cafés. The staff was friendly and the pool was refreshing about a day's hiking. The tourist office is often closed and the hotel does not give out maps, so come prepared!

parking just in front of the hotel, quiet area despite being in walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, bars. the best was being able to sit in the garden and read peacefully. check-in was super simple and no problem that I did my booking 30 minutes before arrival. room was spacious and had a great view with large windows. would come again!

The stuff is the nicest and most helpful. The room was really clean and also located in a very good area of the town, close to everything. Again, cannot stress that enough, the stuff was amazingly nice!

This is a fantastic hotel, just a short walk from the center of town. The staff were welcoming, kind, and accommodating. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast very much. We had a room on the first floor and liked sitting in the chairs out front of the room, taking in the view and night air. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest bringing earplugs as the walls are thin. Luckily our neighbors went to bed shortly after us so the noise wasn't too disruptive.

Set within the Picos de Europa National Park, Hotel Garganta del Cares is located in Poncebos, the starting point of the Cares Route and the cable car to Bulnes.
