I loved the location for this. The view around the hotel did not disappoint and it was a short walk from The West Highland Way. It did not take too long by car to get to Ben Lomond for a good day of walking either. Audrey was around to answer any questions I had and there was a homely feel to the stay especially with the resident pets. You could help yourself to toast, cereal and drinks at breakfast, though the choice was quite limited. I booked the smaller room as I was travelling alone and found it quite cosy. The only thing I felt could have been better was the mattress, it was quite bumpy and I found it slightly uncomfortable. However, I did enjoy my stay and would recommend this hotel to others and would definitely return in the future.

Good clean hotel, convenient for those with a car, at an excellent price.
It's out of town but right off main road, a 20 min walk to Dalmuir station and a £22 taxi back on Sat night from middle of Glasgow if not driving. Small but well equipped business-hotel style room. All in, very good.

The owner, the room, the kitchen, attention to details, WiFi, location (!!!), and access to washing machine. Just a few steps to West Highland Way portal, great restaurants, cafes, shops and grocery story very close by. Most of all, Gerry the owner, was incredibly helpful and kind. I felt blessed to stay here.

I loved overlooking the High Street with it's cute shops. Entry was easy as was the parking. The host explained everything so well, that it was easy to park and get to the apartment.

Lovely location, kind staff. Great value food. Perfect for waking in the area. At the end of your day you have a bed, a bar & a restaurant, makes things nice & easy. Quite area despite being on the “main” road. This is a country in so don’t expect the Ritz, it does what it says on the tin.

The great thing about Strathblane is its proximity to a variety of attractions. From a distillery to being within easy reach (11 miles) of Glasgow City Centre it was a good base for our break. Forced to rely on public transport we were able to travel into the city (or towards Stirling in the opposite direction) using the hourly bus service through the village. An alternative route was to use the bus to reach the railhead at Milngavie (say it as Mulguy) for a choice of destinations including Edinburgh.
Beautiful hotel, in a lovely location. However the room was unbelievably hot. We had to sleep with windows open which resulted in limited sleep as we were right next to some sort of extractor fan outside. It was summer but the temperature in the room didn’t reflect the temperature outside or in the rest of the hotel.
Good choice of breakfast, friendly staff. Dinner menu was interesting with something for everyone. Beautiful hotel with very comfortable rooms that go the extra mile. We had a small room with 2 comfy chair and a tv as well as bedroom and big bathroom. Our daughter had a dressing room as well as a huge walk-in shower!
The hotel is in a very good position. Our bedroom was huge, very comfortable bed and pillows, which was what we needed after 30 km walking. Dinner was great, staff was very friendly, helpful and polite.
We loved it here. Did feel a bit disjointed at times. You weren’t allowed to take drinks to other parts of the hotel or add a tab on to your room or for that day. Otherwise perfect
