A lovely quiet location ideally situated for walking with many trails to choose from literally just outside the front door. Stunning surroundings and an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle. Relaxing, good standard of food in and around the local area but within easy reach of the main motorways.
The Hood Arms, The Farmers Arms, The Lamb Inn are highly recommended. Walks to the Quantock Hills, Holford Combe and Kilve Beach are lovely walks to consider. Creams teas at the nearby Combe Hotel are also not to be missed.

Holford is a really pretty village and an ideal base to explore the Quantocks. The village has a friendly pub, The Plough Arms which offers good value food and there is a hotel, Combe House where we had afternoon tea in the garden.

The property was very good and the surroundings and furnishings were top quality.
It would be very difficult to get to the hotel without transport as it is about a mile off the main road, down a single track road and very remote. If you like peace and quiet and solitude it would be ideal.

A beautiful area for wild life and walking up the combe onto the hills.
Good places in walking - and hiking distance for eating out and a beer or two.
The Combe House Hotel for lazy lunch on Sunday or a cream tea in the garden . The Plough for well priced and hearty pub food.
Coleridge Cottage in Nether Stowey worth a visit.
A lovely location in the Quantocks.
Combe House is in a beautiful setting above Holford, with a footpath up the valley right on the doorstep. Particularly nice to enjoy the surroundings at dusk and early morning.
The staff were welcoming and efficient, and the building has a fascinating history and considerable character. It was a pleasure to stay there.
Excellent location for exploring the Quantocks, with good walking trails next to the hotel. Food was great and staff were friendly and attentive. Free parking and quiet surroundings with birdsong the main sound was very pleasant.
Exceptional restaurant really high quality. Loved the cod. We will return!
Really polite and welcoming staff.
Our only regret is we didn’t stay for longer and would most certainly recommend this peaceful and tranquil hotel.
Location is wonderfully off the beaten track, surrounded by stunning countryside; the hotel interiors were beautifully clean and well decorated and the beds were sumptuous. Staff friendly and attentive. Also super honest!
The hotel is a lovely building in a charming location. We have stayed here before but were very disappointed this time.
We went out for dinner with our family who live locally which was very enjoyable.
Lovely, quirky hotel in an idyllic location, beautiful grounds. Amazing staff - very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. We were made very welcome as were our dogs.
