Lovely traditional village with two thriving pubs.
Lovely traditional village with two thriving pubs. We used the Blue Boar where we received such a warm welcome and delicious pub food we went twice! Marlborough and Hungerford nice towns to visit and we will definitely return to see Avebury and do some walking locally.

This was our second visit to Aldbourne.
This was our second visit to Aldbourne. The first to visit o good friend resident in the nursing home. The second for her funeral in St Micheals Church. It was not for a holiday. The people we met were very friendly and a very nice couple looked after our dog so we could attend the funeral. It is a very pretty village with many amenities.

Doctor Who fan pilgrimage.
Doctor Who fan pilgrimage. Locations from 1971's The Daemons. Brilliant! Nice mile and a half walk up to the Devil's Hump (burial mounds). Two decent pubs in the village that serve reasonable grub so you can while away a chilled evening here.PaulUnited Kingdom
