Vadstena is special to me because it was the home of Saint Birgitta of Sweden, it is a beautiful medieval town, and it is on the banks of a large and lovely lake. There are a number of things to see, e.g., the castle, the klosterkyrka, the kloster museum, the Martin Skinnare house, the mental health museum, the city museum. There are also a number of interesting shops. Vadstena is a charming old lakeside town with some great places to visit like the castle and convent museum. Or you can just wander around the streets! It has a range of nice restaurants, bakeries, etc.

When booking the room, I didn't realise that it was *so* close to the old convent.
