Beautiful location overlooking Lake Siljan. There is safe access to the water at the lakeside. Tallberg comprises mainly hotels and private residences so there is not a lot to do there, but it is extremely relaxing and probably much busier in high season. June is a great time to visit. Road links to nearby Rattvik and Leksand are good and there are many restaurants and shops in both towns. Rattvik is a lively place. Tällberg is a very cute, small town with relaxing restaurants and views. There is a small lake bath where you can go swimming. The view over lake Siljan is stunning. A lot of handcraft and good food, but expect it to be a bit pricey.LouiseGermany

There are few facilities in Tallberg in early season but nearby Rattvik is a vibrant centre. The room was contained, with several others, in a detached "chalet" style building and was recently refurbished to a high standard with new bathroom. Breakfast was very good. The hotel director Ann-Louise, even offered to drive us to the next city when our train didn't arrive to take us home. I have never experienced this level of customer care in Sweden before.
