Walking distance from kasbah and from many restaurants and souvenir shops.
Great value for the price. Staff were very helpful. Allowed us to leave our luggage while we went to see the kasbah.

The hotel has a nice decor, the staff are very pleasant and attentive. Room was of a decent size. I had a problem with the shower pressure and it was fixed the very same morning, with the man at reception giving me an explanation of what had happened and was very apologetic. It is good that they resolve any minor issues quickly. Breakfast is nearby, and also the village of Ait Ben Haddou. Pool area seemed nice, but did not use it as when I visited it wasnt hot enough.

Everything! Ahmed could not have been a better host, really enjoyed chatting to him. His home is amazing, felt like we were in an Arabian palace. Room was spacious with a great terrace leading off it. Ahmed’s brother is a talented artist and his beautiful art work is everywhere - even the headboard!

Most people come here for a few hours. I stayed for 3 days and could have stayed longer. It’s a lovely friendly town where you can spend time browsing through small shops, visiting art galleries, watching the night sky and soaking up the ambiance of this historical place. The highlight was a full day trip on horseback with Cheval Aït Ben Haddou. They have a Google page.

It's a really quiet town honestly.
It's a really quiet town honestly. It is a convenient place to stop, half way between Marrakesh and Merzouga but i feel like half a day would be plenty to see it all. I spent two days and it was definitely too long. The city itself is nothing special, rather touristy. Plenty of tour buses stop for the day, so it gets crowded between 11 to 5, but insanely quiet a night once they're all gone. I highly recommend La Terraza for dinner, they actually have delicious Italian food, with charcuterie and cheese, and their pizza and pasta are authentic. They also serve alcohol which is super hard to find in small morrocan towns like this one.

The kasbah was great to visit. Enjoyed the climb. Found some good shops for souvenirs. Brilliant views. Stunning scenery. Not much in the town / Main Street. Just a few cafes. The main attraction is the kasbah. Find a hotel with a roof top to enjoy the view and take in some star gazing too.

The Riad was outstanding and situated about 4 miles from Ait Benhaddou itself. Taxi about 50 dirhams to get there. Admission is free to the site, although people will try and get you to give them 100 dirhams to enter. The Hotel itself is sensational and the Manager Fatima and her team are brilliant. The view to the river gorge from the dining room is outstanding .

The ksar is beautiful and takes you back in time.
The ksar is beautiful and takes you back in time. Highly recommend climbing to the top for wonderful views. Had a hearty lunch at Auberge Azaddou Tamlalte which serves delicious tagine as well as spectacular views of the ksar. Would be careful about entering people's homes in the ksar despite warm invitations as they demand money after the house tour without saying anything about it upfront.

The setting is still unique, but due to the total lack of care and maintenance the place will be eroded in a few years. It is just a crumbling background to the fleecing of passing tourist trade. A walk to the top granary is still worth it for the view, but a couple of hours will be more than enough.
The staff was super helpful and friendly! Very welcoming, we could leave our bags in the reception area after check-out and they organized a transfer to Ouarzazate where they also stopped at an ATM for us and gave us a good restaurant recommendation.
Breakfast was served outside in the nice patio.
We can totally recommend this nice place for a visit in Ait Ben Haddou. The distance to the town center should not influence the decision, as everything here is super close and you reach the town in less than 2 min.
Spellbinding historic building full of twists and turns, little stairways & roof terraces, beautifully decorated with Moroccan art and objects, and a Berber style cave to relax and drink tea in.
The hotel is in the heart of the ancient Kasber (Kaour) of Ait Ben Haddou with breathtaking views of the palmerie, river and desert beyond. When we stayed in April ‘23 the set for Gladiator 2 was being built close by (due to be filmed in June) very exciting for the children. Atmospheric restaurant and friendly hosts.
The host, Slimane, and his family are extremely nice and welcoming. The interiors are lovely. The breakfast was served on the terrace with a view of the mountains, it was simple but tasty, some Moroccan pancakes with honey, jam and cheese. We also had the tajine for dinner and it was the best one we had during our trip. The location is good if you want to rest from the chaos of Moroccan cities. It’s close to Ait Ben Haddou. It is also possible to use the hammam and have a massage. Highly recommended!
We loved the hotel, an old Berber house which has been renovated sympathetically, so as not to lose the Berber charm. The staff, especially Houssine, were wonderful, helpful and kind. There is private parking, a swimming pool and plenty of areas, inside and out, to chill. Perhaps the most impressive is the terrace where there is an amazing view of Ait Ben Haddou. I would definitely recommend the food - delicious and very reasonable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
this place is awesome! Mohamed was the best host on our Morocco trip. He was so hospitable, friendly, and made sure everything was fine. Even gave us a beautiful drawing of Ait Ben Haddou as a present. Bed was soft and comfy (very hard to find in Morocco so we were very happy!), the dinner was incredible, and the view from the rooftop is the best you can get in the town. highly recommend!
This riad was a great value and run by really kind people. When we asked about getting a tour of Air Ben Haddou the riad’s owner has his cousin — who is a tour guide — come over to show us around and the tour was fantastic. The food was good, though the dining space was a bit complex for multiple different groups.
Amazing place walking distance to Ait Ben Haddou. Abdel Jalil was is such a warm and helpful host and made you feel at home the moment you walk in the door. The breakfast was enormous and so delicious! We will definitely stay here again as well as recommending it to all our friends and family.
Very friendly host/ owner who prepared outstanding meals. The riad/ hotel is on a hill, outside of the town and relatively modern, but with charm of the riad architecture with central courtyard. From our window, we saw the ruins of an old kasbah, which was interesting to visit.
- romms verry clean and modern, especially the bath rooms
- we stood in two different rooms because we decided to return afte the first night and the Jungle Suite had a view to Ait ben haddou kasbah form the bed
- all in all the rooms looked more nice than in the fotos
The owner was extremely nice and generous! He allow my friend and I to park our motorcycles at his home to ensure they were safe. He was also very helpful in giving recommendations about where to go and what to see! Unique hotel with a fantastic host!
Amazing location right in Ait Ben Haddou historic site. Very beautifully restored building and atmospheric with candle light only . Genuine Morrocan food - lovely dining setting and friendly staff. Would stay again without doubt.
best view and hospitality money can buy! very close to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou
great hosts and food too! thank you Yassin and the rest for giving us a wonderful time! 11/10 would recommend
Hassan and his family made us feel at home in their incredible hotel! Sitting on the beautiful ancient terrace after a delicious dinner we could see an unbelievable array of stars. Simply magical!
Real Berber experience with the owner in a small village with beautiful valley view.
Heater in the room - especially in the winter months.
