Pasewalk has some interesting architectural features...
Pasewalk has some interesting architectural features restored post-war and with imagination it is possible to picture the towns past. Sadly, like so many towns in the region the lack of investment and employment is evident. Worth visiting for say one night if you are a tourist visiting the region with other venues in mind.
This Hotel is simply amazing, what the owners made out of this old historic mansion, their eye for details, including the restaurant that is, and still the rooms are state of the art equipped. And such a clean well maintained bathroom is even hard to find in other Hotels of even (claimed) higher categories. Besides that the Hotel is in the middle of downtown Pasewalk, a city I so far only passed by when heading to the baltic sea, but is even worth it to discover more I found out that one evening I stayed spontaneously there.
Friendly and extremely helpful owner, with a big heart and patience to answer all my questions, and answering them fast! Plus, the property is very quiet, so it's a great choice for a family getaway or a rest after long driving/cycling.
It's located just outside the city walls of Pasewalk, so one can sneak into medieval times just walking through the backyard stairs. We were allowed to use a shed for our bike, which was a big advantage as well!
