    Great beach for families.

Great beach for families. Caravan Park with cabins that have sea views. Excellent cafe and restaurant right on the beach - very good seafood choices with local wines to choose from. Close to wineries, galleries and eating spots in McLaren Vale with the iconic Willunga Market open on Saturday.

Instead of single use milk in plastic containers we were pleasantly surprised to be provided with a whole 1lt carton of milk in fridge ready for our use. Everything we found was above our expectations,& little treats were also available for our pleasure. We were also given privilege of sharing herbs growing in garden that were fresh- very appreciative. Very adequate seating facilities for 2 people, more than needed& what really impressed me was stainless steel saucepans, cutlery & very adequate range of kitchen gadgets & odds & ends. SO happy with our stay there.Night of arrival a quick walk up to the Foodland store for a few extras for our evening meal but in the way back was almost tempted to call at fish & chip shop for easy meal. I was also very grateful for an easy to use 2 ring gas stovetop, besides the microwave, but the best thing was a reasonably sized , holiday fridge with adequate freezer space for our time away.Walk next morning to the jetty & beach was a little further, but we discovered a friendly place for walking& exploring. We enjoyed off peak time as looks like may be swarming with visitors in the peak of summer.

I love visiting this quaint little sea side town, so tranquil and peaceful. Especially at winter, favourite time of year to visit. Great pizza at Mare Bello! Great coffee at Little Sister! We come back and stay at Lady Bay regularly! A quick getaway to rejuvenate.

Small, but warm and cosy next to the coast. There’s something about being close to water - calm and relaxing. Locals are friendly and helpful. Some gorgeous small businesses to try with food and beverages!

This place was an exceptional find a couple days prior to our trip! It was a spacious, bright, clean and very well-equipped apartment with a great, responsive and accommodating host. Fantastic location too - off the main road, so not overly busy/noisy, at the same time within a few minute walk to the beach and Normanville Kiosk (cafe), as well as a walking distance (or a super short drive) to the centre of town. We loved every minute of staying there, and will happily return once it gets a bit warmer again. Thanks for everything Julia!

    I did stay longer.

I did stay longer. Loved the countryside and the country feel of Normanville. Very friendly folk. Great bakery, good sized Foodland. All staff friendly. A Birdie Told Me great little gift shop. Lots to see in surroundings within easy 45 min drives. Great beach. Loved it. Highly recommend and I'll more than likely be back for another holiday.

This was such a beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean place to stay. We had a wonderful time away for 4 nights and the host, Julia, was very thoughtful and accommodating. The property has all the mod cons, fantastic kitchen, very comfy bed and lovely bathroom and is a very short stroll to Normanville Beach and also the shops. It was lovely to sit out on the balcony either with a morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine, watching the world pass by. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be returning, hopefully soon!

A perfect location for a romantic getaway. The accommodation was really nice and there is a spa , kitchenette and a really comfy bed. The breakfast was fantastic with bacon and eggs, orange juice, bread and yoghurt provided. Peaceful and in a beautiful location a few minutes away with a walkway to Normanville beach, where the turquoise ocean laps upon the soft whites sands. Here you can relax knowing that there is hardly a soul in sight. Thank you, Marion, as you are a perfect host.

White Sands Retreat was like a little slice of paradise for my family during our visit to Normanville. It had plenty of space for our party of 6, all the creature comforts of home, was exceptionally clean, and had super comfy beds and couches. Nicole was great with communication and was so welcoming. Our only complaint is that we wish we could have stayed longer! I highly recommend this property and cannot wait to return! Thank you Nicole, for sharing your wonderful home with us!!

Easy walk down to the Normanville jetty and had a lovely, beautifully presented brunch at the kiosk on Margy’s recommendation. The homestead is also walking distance to the Normanville town centre, close to shops, cafes and restaurants although we were provided with lovely, generous provisions for a cooked breakfast. Great to come back and relax in the outdoor spa.

Location was a beautiful little retreat that felt like you were out of the way. It was also close enough to yankalilla and Normanville that you could go out visiting or go for dinners and breakfasts. Walking down to the cellar door for a wine tasting and platter looking over the view was also a treat.

Splash on Defiance is the perfect stay for a family getaway. Beautiful home, so clean, great amenities and the key collection and drop off is simple and easy. Perfect for two families. The kids especially loved the pool. Normanville is a gorgeous spot and an easy drive to explore neighbouring towns.
