We didn’t get to enjoy the hotel for what it is we were there for a wedding at another resort .we were looked after by the courtesy car there and back .back to the bed definitely needs a new mattress not much sleep.would love to come back but on a pension $300 a night sorry 😢

The Black Spur Inn has been beautifully updated, while still retaining some of the external features of the earlier hotel, and some wonderful,internal features such as the beautiful staircase All of the renovations are wonderful, with the interior of the restaurants having a wonderful ambience, from the spacious dining are to the large comfortable lounge complete with wood fire. The bedroom was so comfortable, with comfortable beds and a clinch, plush carpet , and a modern well fitted bathroom

Great place to stay if you want to explore both sides of it...
Great place to stay if you want to explore both sides of it - Healesville or Marysville. In our 2 days of stay, we could only explore the Healesville side so definitely 4-5 days would be needed to explore the entire area. There's too many places to visit - the sanctuary, chocolaterie, wineries, Maroondah reservoir, waterfalls, valleys, etc.

Narbethong is a place we usually drive through on our way to Eildon, etc. this time we used it as a base for a two night stopover. Great base for visits around the area Marysville, Eildon etc. without the long drive home.

Narbethong is a lovely setting with amazingly straight gum trees and lots of man ferns in a mountainous setting which is absolutely stunning. windy roads which allow time to look (not the driver) at the fantastic scenery. Stunning.

Gorgeous and spacious villa that was perfect for a couple's long weekend! Kitchen was well stocked with breakfast foods (bacon, eggs, tomato, mushroom, milk etc.) enough for a couple of home cooked meals. The space itself was very clean and well maintained. Spa bath and shower was very relaxing, with a cute private Japanese garden to enjoy. The whole place is very quiet and private as well, if you're looking to getaway and disconnect for a bit.

Great feeling, plenty of space, loved looking out at the trees and the main entrance and living area were perfectly positioned to make it private. Japanese garden was beautiful. Got to say good morning to a couple of cows. Greatly appreciated the dishwasher and plenty of cooking crockery and utensils. Well catered with lots of food inc farm fresh eggs. Always love a wood fire. Thank you

It was conveniently located around 10km from restaurants in Marysville and it was opposite the Nabathong reserve where one could go from a morning stroll. Mark and Meghan were the perfect host warm and friendly.Megs breakfast was superb.They made our stay with them enjoyable.Happy memories of our time in Oak Tree guesthouse.

Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good collection of games and DVDs for the kids, and an open fire in the common area. Good food options nearby. Hot tub outside the room was a bonus, with a great view to boot.

this is a lovely spot for nature lovers & motorbike riders ! the hotel is a little outdated but the lovely hosts make up for that. It is lovely & clean & Dianne & Jim are happy to accommodate you in any way they can.
