Bororen Hotel Motel, hotel in Miriam Vale

Offering a year-round outdoor pool, Bororen Hotel Motel is located in Bororen in the Queensland Region, 8.1 mi from Miriam Vale. Guest can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar.

We travel back and forth to Mackay and always have items to take up to our family. Bororen Hotel Motel is approximately half way and a pleasant stop to sleep over and recharge the batteries. Whilst the room is a bit old fashioned it is nevertheless clean and tidy and meets all of the requirements of a weary traveller. Dinner is a good solid pub style menu well cooked with an ample serving. Bororen does not provide a breakfast service. If you are heading north McDonalds at Rocky is in the right side of a highway for a stop, or if you are heading south Miriam Vale say 10kms south has a number of breakfast options available. Miriam Vale also offers EV charging facilities .

Miriam Vale is a quiet, country town.

Miriam Vale is a quiet, country town. Unfortunately a storm prevented us from walking to the recommended nearby hotel for dinner. We made do with food we had with us. The Cool Beans Cafe/Bakery which we had planned to visit for breakfast states on its website it is open from 6am. We arrived at 6:45am but when we entered we were told by the assistant that they don’t start cooking until 7am. The assistant was putting pies in the display case. There were sweet offerings in other cabinet. Not exactly the fare we were expecting. We left without purchasing. They should state on their website/Facebook that they open at 6am but don’t start cooking breakfast items until 7am.

Miriam Vale is about halfway between Mackay and Brisbane.

Miriam Vale is about halfway between Mackay and Brisbane. Go around to the park off the highway. There are pretty shops and a hotel on the main street. The park is great for kids who need a break from being in the car. Go there and spead your money locally; they need your help.
