Lovely quiet area, however both the nice restaurants cancelled our booking due to "staffing" and we had to drive back into Mansfield. Rodeo is not our thing that weekend but it h ers would have enjoyed it, just meant everything is booked out.

There is not much at Merrijig to be honest, its a very small community kind of in the middle of nowhere, which is perfect if your looking for somwhere close to Mt buller but away from the hustle and bustle, Im guessing there would be a number of walking tracks that would be great in the summer also.
There is a lovely old Pub for meals or a quiet drink, and an other place just down the road which we did not go to.

Merrijig is really close to Mansfield, which is a small city with local shops and has great restaurant options. Mt Buller is also really close and it is a place worth visiting any time of the year. We didn't have a good experience eating at the local pub (Hunt Club Hotel), so I would recommend travelling a few km back to Mansfield to eat better.

Merrijig is a quiet town with few facilities but short drive to Mansfield & Mt Buller. There is a stream that was good for fishing & would be a lovely place to swim in summer.
There was a local pub in town that we didn’t visit, but would definitely visit on our next stay. Menu’s in the accomodation were available.
We were pleasantly surprised the moment we entered the cottage. The kitchen and living area were spacious.
Its facilities were excellent and the lovely decor provided great finishing touches for a fresh and comfortable feel.
The beds too were most comfortable. It was so appreciated that each bedroom had its own ensuite. We really enjoyed sitting at the picnic table in the beautiful setting down by the creek as well. Merrijig Cottage is certainly a great place to relax.
Location, Proximity to Mt Buller, high plateau provides good view of the snow tipped mountain and the natural surroundings from the property(where abel to view kangaroo from room window) very spacious sitting/ lounge areas esp fireplace was very nice, Wifi worked well, Kitchen well equipped, were able to rent chains at Sebel Pinnacle Valley resort hotel just couple kms from here so didn't have to go to Mansfield.
Excellent location if you are going to Mt Buller! Around 30 mins to the resort.
Great service, the motel has everything you need. There is a bar, restaurant, mini supermarket, equipment and chains hire - everything in one place
Also, there is a river right behind the motel and amazing view
2nd time staying at this accommodation while visiting Mount Buller for multi day trips.
1st stay had noisy neighbours as the walls are very thin. 2nd stay no issues at all.
Hunt club hotel across the road was a good feed
It's in Merrijig, basically at the base of Mt Buller (30mins drive). It has a microwave for heating and re-heating food. Hot water is available and there are stuff for cleaning. There is wifi and a big TV with Netflix.
The standard king room was actually a spacious apartment including kitchen and all accessories you will need. In great "as new" condition with fantastic staff and location this hotel really was above our expectations.
I had a fantastic stay at the Merrijig Motor Inn. Staff were very friendly and rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was very delicious. I highly recommend visiting the restaurant when it's open.
Good location with fantastic view to Mt Buller Mountain. 4 bedrooms , 3 bathrooms which is good for larger group.
Additional living room for entertainment with sofa bed.
