Maryborough has the Brogla Theatre which is a very popular destination, accommodation wise Maryborough prices are cheaper than Hervey Bay. Hervey Bay is only a 1/2 drive, Maryborough has some nice restaurants, or pub meals, for better value prices. It's an easy town to get around, and nice to stay for a short stay.

Maryborough is a lovely country town to walk around with many beautiful traditional buildings. Fabulous and well kept gardens. Queens park is a must to visit and to walk by the river. Don't miss the Portside museum, Mary Poppins statue and the Mary Poppins figure on the walk and don't walk pedestrian signs at the traffic lights. Really helpful and friendly people with many comfortable cafes selling quality coffee and locally made savoury and sweet items. Fun, interesting Thursday morning markets with home made products and quality fresh produce to see and to buy. Overall, a traditional, friendly country town experience.

An historic town that is very under rated.
An historic town that is very under rated. Far too many interesting places to see in a short stay.
The museums/galleries were excellent - particularly the "Story Bank" - P L Travers (Mary Poppins) birthplace.

At the Carriers Arms, the meals were excellent, and the accommodation was value for money. Its location is ideal on the edge of the CBD and a short trip to the Brolga Theatre. The Brolga Theatre is also a perfect venue, just the right size.

Didn't get to see much, as my Husband was at the
Pistol Club Shooting Comp all weekend .
We have been to Maryborough heaps of times, it is a lovely place to visit.
My Great Grandparents settled there when they came out from Ireland, my Grandfather was born there. I feel a connection with Maryborough every time we visit.
Thank You Cathy Barnes
The man in the office is lovely,we just needed a room as we were on a road trip.
It was just myself and husband but then my granddaughter came, which he didn't charge me for her which was amazing.
Due to the change he moved us to the very front of hotel he did say it was very loud near free way which it was very loud we didn't sleep.
The room had a windows but was nailed shut, probably to block out noise.
He did have us at the back away from traffic until we had to change rooms.
It's was good for value it's ok for a night
Airy spacious living area and kitchen. Large bedroom with plenty of room for storage for two. There was an outside garden to enjoy. We stayed five nights and the available facilities were mostly catered for home cooked meals.
Would recommend a stay at this fabulous accommodation.
Wifi worked well and binging on Netflix was entertaining when not out and about exploring Maryborough and Hervey Bay
The property was spotlessly clean, tidy and welcoming. Even though it is on a main street opposite the hospital, it is very quiet and relaxing.
Monica, the manager, went out of her way to check us in early.
We (5 adults) were there for a work function and will now make the Cara Motel our go to accommodation every time we are in Maryborough. Thank you

The managers of this hotel do an excellent job. Rooms are spotless, modern and very well maintained. We were just passing through Maryborough but were very impressed and would highly recommend. The pub next door has the same owners, offers excellent food and also does room service to the motel.
Everything was as expected from a rent a room. I have to say the screen with your welcome you in person name and surname and the availability of chrome casting from your device on top of the already available entertainment was great. Made you feel special and looked after in some way.
Greatly underrated motel in Maryborough. Rooms smell clean and place is really well looked after. Has a pool and most of all the check in is the most efficient we've ever seen. At last a motel stepping into the 21st century catering for all arrival times
Easy access from main Hervey Bay Road. Five minute walk to the Brolga Theatre. Hotel bottle shop directly over the road & a short walk to convenience store. Lovely restaurant on premises. Good undercover parking. Rooms were big & spacious.
A beautiful heritage building in the heart of Maryborough. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet and the lounge and library were lovely. The host, Wendy, is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is also great.
Our second stay here (which we would not do if we didn't like it). The associated hotel next door serves very good meals. The motel building is quite old but the owners have done a great job in the renovated rooms.
Absolutely everything. We would definitely recommend staying at Cara Hotel. The staff are wonderful, the room was spacious, beds very comfy and it is close to the town and Hervey Bay.
Great cottage, very cosy & comfortable in a quiet location. Really appreciated the extra touches Jackie & Daryl provided. Highly recommend for a stay in Maryborough.
Perfect for a one night stay. Great customer service. Got upgraded which was really really lovely. Everything we needed was in the room and the price was very good
