The town is lovely, great places to eat and drink, lots of attractions and view points, short drives to many other places. I really enjoyed it. One thing i would mention, as we were caught out with this, the whole town stops serving food at 8pm, so you do have to choose between watching the sunset and eating.

Too much wrong. Not even close to enough right.
Too much wrong. Not even close to enough right. Broken toilets, fans, lights, terrible seating, lack of outdoor furniture, cleanliness was atrocious, kitchen was filthy, bathrooms were filthy, parking was horrendous. No outdoor seating. Lack of care really by the responses of issues and never got the same person twice when contacting. Garden and outside area unkept, debris, boards with nails, garbage about. All and all....stay away!

Katoomba is a beautiful town with the obvious features of the Three Sisters but if you go for a day trip west towards Lithgow etc you can find quiet waterfalls and swimming holes all to yourself and more stunning views!

Katoomba is nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains.
Katoomba is nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Although it drizzled for much of the time we were there, the mist actually added real atmosphere to the brooding escarpments across the valley. A visit to the Blue Mountains is memorable in any season. Katoomba itself is well served by camping and adventure stores as well as Coles and Woolworths and several high quality cafes and restaurants. The Old Bank and the Carrington Hotel offer perhaps the finest cuisine and are right next to each other. The public bus is very efficient and the best way to get around but you can also use the Hop On Hop off bus or hire a car. All the most spectacular natural features are within a short drive.

The mountains welcome a mish mash of friendly locals, Sydney siders, tourists and backpackers to rest. We chose to walk the Govett’s leap to Evan’s lookout walk. Blue mountains sea food was a delicious treat. We used a combination of driving, buses and walking to get around.

Staying at this hotel is like being wrapped in a cozy blanket of luxury, with views that could make even the most seasoned traveler pinch themselves just to check if it's real. The scenery outside the window is so stunning, it's like Mother Nature hired a personal decorator. And let's talk about the rooms - they're so lovely, I half expected them to tuck me in at night and read me a bedtime story. It's like sleeping in a cloud made of marshmallows and dreams.
this cottage has a history. I liked the design and style.
continental breakfast was provided. As I arrived late, the reception was still open and welcomed very well. I stayed for a night and left in the morning. All facilities were provided. the hotel staff helped us to use the kitchen to have dinner for senior citizens. milk, biscuits, & sugar were provided. its a good value for money.
We love our stay in this old world guest house. As we use public transport, it's so close to the Katoomba Rail Station. Perfect. Also close to other wonderful attractions.
We were so lucky to snag the unusual Snow Fall..spectacular.
The hotel follows Covid-19 safety standards to the letter.
We included the full breakfast, we'll worth it.
We'll be back for sure.
This is lovely old hotel set in a perfect position. It had a very homely feel with large lounge areas, virtually empty for our stay.
Delicious food at the restaurant and excellent cocktails! The staff were lovely and upgraded our room without us asking.
There would have been views but not on our visit! 5 minutes walk from the shopping area at katoomba.
A very clean and comfortable hotel located within easy walking distance of the Katoomba shops and not too far from the train station. Our room was nice and warm (it was cold outside) and had no problems. We found the staff to be extremely pleasant and happy to assist us with all of our enquiries/requests. I would definitely return to this hotel.
1 min walk to the train station. No traffic noise in inner-facing room. Blanket and heating were adequate. Generous coffee and tea refills. Beautiful library, game room and fireplace. The original pictures in the library. I love how the character of the hotel was maintained. Wifi was reliable.
Clean room with the kinds of amenities you'd expect for a motor inn. Check in was quick and easy, and there's parking right outside the room. The location is pretty good as it's only a short drive to the center of Katoomba and all the common natural attractions people come here for.
The house is elegant, cozy, and comfortable. The bed was wonderful and I slept like a baby. Far nicer than any hotel we have stayed at on our trip so far. The hosts were helpful and the breakfast was completely perfect. All details covered.
It is an excellent location with all the facilities that you would expect for the cost. Have stayed here several times and recommended this hotel to many friends. In summary, affordable, clean, no frills and great location in Katoomba.
Beautiful old early 20th century grand hotel in great position in central Katoomba. Gorgeous stained glass windows. Very comfortable beds. Wonderful decor and artwork. Tourist bus stop out the front. Generally extremely helpful staff.
The view from the room was superb, unblocked views of the mountains from both inside the room and out on the balcony! Also a bonus to have access to its sister hotel Lilianfels facilities and amenities, loved the heated indoor pool :)
Was a basic clean room. Bed and pillows were decent and the staff were excellent. The location is great, only a short distance from central Katoomba, hotel has plenty of parking, and the pool is clean and well maintained.
Everything. The staff were great, the rooms better than in several 5 star hotels I've stayed in. If you're going to Katoomba, stay here - as I will again in a few months time when the weather is better.
Nicely located in the heart of Katoomba, walking distance from the restaurants shops, the Three Sister Lookout. Friendly staff and parking spots. Would stay again.
You can't beat the location as it was a 3 min drive to the centre of Katoomba. The room was very quiet and the shower was hot with great water pressure.
